Why did the early recruit signing period move up to December

We'ren't we one of the schools that really was pushing this? Butch was really into early signees if I remember correctly.

Because there was no EARLY signing date...so they instituted one.

along with pretty much every other P5 coach in the US. The only people not into it were coaches in smaller conferences. They eventually figured out that it helps everyone. Less drama is always an improvement.. period.
