he has not been playing great lately, I really believe we need to play our stars more and fringe players less

Once Maymon gets a haircut (notwithstanding his lack of hair) he'll be back in the rotation.

Maymon is a better player than Steven Pearl. He brings just as much hustle and muscle while providing more of a scoring threat. Maymon should not be a fringe player.

To be a top 60 player coming out of HS, Maymon has not impressed me at all. Apparently the staff has been less than impressed too.

Maymon looks for his shot when he gets the ball and Steven doesn't. just saying

That not necessarily a good thing when he's shooting up airballs and bricks from under the rim...

This. Maymon is pretty decent at getting to the line, but he's shooting about 15% from there (and I'm not even exaggerating). Learn to shoot FTs and I imagine his playing time skyrockets.

As much as his dad and him complained at Marquette about him playing out of position ,I find it funny he is not playing at all. Like I said the VOLS were lights out till he became eligible and Pearl complained for a week about it

I just think you have to play Maymon over Steven "The Beak" Pearl no matter what. Steven has no potential and nobody wants to let him touch the ball on offense. He just stands by himself. Its 4 on 5.

Like I said in another thread. Maymon may bolt after this season. I'm sure it's not working out like he wanted. Maybe a D-II school will be his home soon.

Because he is not related to the head coach!!!:whistling::whistling:

This -- he could definately help imo -- he is young, he is relatively quick on his feet - the best rebounder on the team -- based on rebounds per minutes played and brings as much energy as Pearl. He had one poor game, doesn't handle the ball well and hasn't shot free throws well. Pearl doesn't handle the ball well and doesn't shoot free throws well either. As a sophomore he has a lot of upside and of course Pearl has no upside.

Been saying this for 2 years. When he is on the court, it is 4 on 5. This is why we continue to lose the minutes when Pearl is in the game. It amazes me how some of our fans believe we are a better team with him on the floor.

Not a Maymon suck, but given that our defensive boards lost us the game, Maymon could have helped.

I think he could have added some much needed muscle inside.

TWO WORDS USE ANY COMBO YOU WANT:

1) DADDY BALL
2) BRUCE PEARL
3) STEVEN PEARL

Although SP has played better for his standards lately I'd still rather have Maymon 1000 out of 1000 times. Only at UT and rec league does daddy ball take place. I am praying NCAA HAMMERS Bruce not our program.

Anyone who thinks we are BETTER team with S Pearl on the court is "severaly mentally challenged" in the sports category. SP does not make this team better; the last two games he has not hurt the team like he typically does. S Pearl sucks whomever thinks he is good just don't know what good is.

your talking about Maymon not being athletic to catch, pass or shoot. i think your misunderstanding your thinking about Fields all he can do is dunk and Steven, well they don't even guard him

Maymon also shoots less than 50% from the free throw line and is good for 2-3 turnovers for every 10 minutes played. Also, I would like to see the plus/minus differential with Pearl on the floor yesterday. He definitely makes our team better.
