It's tough to grow up with a program or team that is amazing and wins all the time and watch them decline. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers, my home town team in the Canadian Football League, was dominant in the 80's as I grew up with them. Championships and dominating defenses. My beloved Blue Bombers haven't won a title in 20+ years in an 8 team league. That's not just pain... that's motrin pain.
So I understand how easy it is to get negative. But Tennessee is truly blessed to have a fabulous football tradition that is, in my opinion, unsurpassed. Other schools will have equally fun atmospheres and passionate fans and traditions.. but none can claim they surpass what happens at Neyland.
Good times are around the corner.
I haven't seen any posts saying "hope". What I have seen is some speculating that by looking at his record they don't have faith that DD can or will get the job done. I've also seen those same people say they hope that they are wrong and UT has a great season. If you can show me the posts where people said they HOPE he loses I'd appreciate it as I've not seen them. I've seen accusations of those posts but no one has shown them as of yet. Thanks in advance if you can show them.

It's not just his @$$holery....which is a great term..... But also his delusional sense of self..... How he thinks he's everything to everyone when he's actually vinegar and water in a plastic bottle. It's not your "negative" outlook for the vols. It's your constant @$$holery that makes it seem you are a negavol. I would agree with you more, if you didn't just counter argue everyone but you is an idiot. There are about 7 Billion realities on the planet by the way. How and who it is precieved by is as much of a reality as anything.

Worrying about recruiting rankings in July is downright sad as well. Things are going to change dramatically between now and signing day.
so is whining about Vandy being ahead of us in June when you know damn well they will never sign a higher rated class
I could care less if I am labeled a Posivol, Negavol or whatever acronym is the flavor of the month. I know i've been a fan and have supported the program for over 40 years and during that time I have come to know a thing or two about being a fan and some of the stuff that goes on here I would not consider being a fan or supporting the kids on the team. To me those players are kids, I was a kid at that age and the thing a kid needs at that age is support.
The misery that Jonathon Crompton went thru from fans no kid should have to go thru it and still remain happy to be a Vol. Fans who attacked him should be ashame because he was a kid and kids need support. So as the year starts and players make mistakes on the field, try to show some class.
Questioning the coach is not bashing the kids. Hell if anything the "posivols" or whatever you wanna call yourselves bash the kids not the "negavols". One of your ilk in this very thread accused Bray of throwing the KY game in order to defend DD. Y'all go out of your way to lay all the blame on the players and you lay a little blame on the coaches that jumped ship. So how is that supporting the "kids"? I defy you or anyone of your ilk to find one post where I bash a player. Hell read the Bray rumor thread and see who were the ones jumping him at first.
Equating questioning the coach with bashing the players is as wrong as one could possibly be.
And all the people who attacked JC or any other player are trash.

Please show me where I have attacked a player Beef, I have defended Bray because there is no way a kid at 20 would be aiming a beer bottle at a vehicle. Whether people wish to believe it or not those kids on the team need the fanbase support, coaches will come and go but the kids and the way they represent the university on the field is what memories are made of.
I didn't say you in particular. And as far as supporting the players we agree. I have never attacked or bashed the players or the program or the school. However the coaches are highly paid professionals and I hold them as the leaders to a higher standard. So in this we agree.

I am just curious to why people choose to be negative and take the wait and see aproach. I love this time of year. I am always a little more optimistic at this time of year than I probably should be. Hell this is the time of year we all "have the chance to become champions!". I know unlikely. My point is even if you are taking the wait and see approach, does it not still burn deep inside you with every loss we have? It has always hurt me when we lose. Even last year when I predicted 8 wins. I knew we would probably lose to LSU, UA and AR. It still sucked the wind out of me to lose. So why allow your self to be so negative now when you have the opportunity to be so optimistic and feel great about the potential of the up coming season. Not trying to call out negavols I just want to understand why you choose to deny yourself of the good feel times of preseason hype.
