Being 1 of 3 safeties taken in the top 5 qualifies u as once in a generation IMO. I do agree that you have to have impact players to win championships but EB was more than an impact player, he was the best defensive player in the SEC from his sophomore year to his junior year. We'll have to agree to disagree about Janzen being anywhere near the level of Berry. Again, there's a reason (and not just a smelly one) that he isn't playing in the NFL.
I think with better coaching Janzen could of been as good. It's actually is a smelly reason why he gets cut from everywhere. EB is over romanticized on here because we sucked when we had him. I don't use draft results to judge players for college because its situational where you get picked. Not every team is the packers and goes best player available. Ponder was picked twelfth overall.
