Why cant we, TENNESSEE, land any of these top recruits?!

The Speedy Noils, Fournettes, Tony Browns, Damien Mamas, Adoree Jacksons, Jabril Peppers, David Cornwells, etc.....WHY CANT WE LAND ANY OF THESE guys?!

Yes, we have landed top recruits like Malone, Hurd, Helm in this class, but it still seems as if the top 30 recruits are waaaay out of our league and it bothers me!! Ole Miss, Clemson, ND, Auburn, etc....what do these programs have that we don't? Yes, I know we have struggled and have had coaching and roster attrition, but we are still Tennessee and should be able sway one of these types of recruits. Devonte Lambert was one of those recruits. Its just frustrating seeing all of these mediocre programs reeling in all these program changing recruits while we land just solid recruits!

Ill say this....my mindset will change if we land Adoree Jackson or/and Darrell Scott. That would prove me wrong and I hope to god it happens!

No words can express all the stupidity in your post. Sorry our top recruits diidn't drag out the process or make a spectacle of their recruitment just to satisfy your tiny mind. Absolutely astounding that you started a thread with such bs. Detroit eh? Shocking

Hey, you are right. We should just get in the ol' heliocopter and drop in on #s 1-25 and say "get in!" That way we'll get a lot of notice from ESPN and end up with no one of any real substance again. Remember when a couple of coaches ago forgot to recruit anyone for the OLine? Why would he do that? Because he spent all his time focusing on the number of stars and not enough time actually fill spots of need.

Did you even check? You do realize that our class this year is rated higher than the Ole Miss class from last year. You are complaining about something that you are already getting.

You need to regroup or check with someone before you start a thread. Is your wife or girlfriend around - next time check with her or someone else that knows more about Tennessee football and recruiting before starting a thread.

So are we supposed to get all 30 something 5 stars? Forget that there are over 120 FBS schools recruiting them. Most schools are lucky to sign 1 or 2 five stars. We currently have two.

This thread is dumb.... that said...not a whole lot about this class seems sustainable. Tennessee isn't going to have this type of talent every year. Havent done a whole lot in Florida, nothing North Carolina or South Carolina, no top 10 guys in Georgia. Great job in Illinois(fluke??) hard to believe butch is building a stronghold in Illinois. Great job with instate and JUCOs. Great class. Not sure we have shown we will sustain this type of class.

OP, do you realize that UT has 5 guys in the rivals 100 coming off a 5-7 season? Malone, Hurd, Bates, Tkjr, and Hendrix. I am not even going to mention all of the other studs we are going to bring in with this haul. SMFH!
