If you're talkin about Mathews, that's not what he said, that's just VN comprehension skills.
Mathews said UT deciding who they wanted is a done deal, not the hire.

It’s because no one has been hired and other coaches have to do what’s in their best interests not UT’s. We have the worst decision makers on the planet.

Considering every other team announces a hire when they make it and the fact that its been that way for as long as I can remember...
I'd say we simply haven't hired anyone.
I wanted Briles so bad.
This **** sucks.

The only thing the last 15 months or so has taught me regarding coaching searches SPECIFICALLY when it comes to our Tennessee Volunteers is this : nothing is final until the ink is dry, and even then some stuff can go down. It's fun to engage in the chaos and antics on twitter, but at the end of the day nobody truly knows anything. Everybody gets bits and pieces of information from their "sources" and report it as all but a fact.

Problem with this is everyone has an agenda, pushing false intel can at times help their agenda. Sometimes, the intel people push is just flat out incorrect.

Just take a step back, enjoy our basketball season, and wait for the official announcement from the school before you have an opinion on any candidate, just my opinion!

Lots of misunderstanding around here. I feel the judgment even though I'm just here to share feelings and be a good listener. It's hard but I know y'all need me so I keep coming back.

They’ve “decided” who they wanted? I’ve decided I want Belichik as head coach. I’ve also decided that I want to make 400k per year

OK. I hope I never am graded on instant turn around with inadequate resources in less than a year. It would make senses if it were the same coaching staff that didn't reach the magical number in back to back years. I saw some pretty sucky Johnny Majors led teams, but he is considered an icon.

The talent excuse is BS, you cannot honestly say Charlotte had equal talent and Vandy had far superior talent. This years team was inconsistent and unmotivated, thats on the coaching staff. There were some flashes of real potential this season quickly followed up by WTF just happened games. But it's still way to early to declare CJP is the guy. He's just another damn Bammer until he starts winning here.

Not trying to give a shtick or get defensive, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, especially on a message board. I’m not trying to say I’m a true fan, just saying I can’t turn the want for UT to be successful on or off, so it sure would be nice if they would at least get mediocre again. Don’t really know what to say about the whole football message board thing, I mean that’s what it is, I live in South Georgia and I don’t know a single vol fan down here so this is really the only outlet for me to talk vols football. Whether life is going great or bad I still enjoy reading and discussing the football team here. Yes I certainly hope we do hire a good oc, only time will tell. You seem like a nice guy, have a good one.

I didn’t know I needed you to approve of why I am here? Maybe because I graduated from UT and want them to succeed and what we have had shoved down our throats over the past decade has been atrocious. Until enough people complain nothing will change and encouraging the status quo does nothing

At the time, fans were screaming it was Pruitt's indecision causing the hold up. At the time, that's what he was addressing. Now that fans have moved on to screaming something else, the quote no longer makes sense but here is the actual quote anyways

This gets more hilarious every day. I hope they take at least a couple of more weeks to announce any decisions. I think the site, or some members, might actually explode from the stress. Some need a very strong reality check along with a serious life priority balance verification.

I would say we probably don't. Could be wrong, but Tennessee is just not a destination stop.

My wife has cancer, I know what is important in life but that doesn’t mean I am not capable of recognizing suckiness when I see it without me pacing the floor at night or kicking over someone in a wheelchair
