Why are you a Vol fan?

Always been a fan, but became a FAN in 91 after listening to NBC pump up the Irish and dog the Vols out during the 1st half at South Bend. We all know how that ended...:shaking2:
The next season I went to my first game vs Cincinnatti, we won 40 - 0, my buddy and I partied for four days and when I came back from my holiday my boss fired me...it was worth every minute of it. Many seasons later I still get tears in my eyes when the drum major busts a highstep and the Vols explode through the T. When my time comes I'll leave one message for the world on my stone..."Give Him Six!!":td:

Because UT is all that is good in college football and we will be again. (Current staff aside,...kind of wish they'd coach to win rather than get the emotional boost for next year, might like em' more,...big mouth and all)

I was born to Vol fans and after listening to John Ward every saturday I never considered being anything else. It is a great memory [ glued to the radio each saturday] It's FOOTBALL TIME IN TENNESSEE!!!

Moved to Chattanooga in middle school. Graduated from HS and packed my bags for Knoxville the year that "Johnny came marching home." Graduated from UT 4 years later and haven't looked back since.

Such great memories. Smoking FL in the pouring rain. Finally beating Bama after 9 years. Devastating Jimmy Johnson (and Keith Jackson) and his Miami thugs. "No Sir-re".

I can't wait for the next game. :yahoo:

I grew up in Middle Tn listening to games on the radio w/John Ward and watching the tape delays late at night in the late 70's and 80's before Cable TV was what it is today.

Just imagine all the kids growing up nowadays that get to catch Vol fever! It is exciting to know that it is a long tradition that will never stop.
