I can blame them since teams with better players aren't doing it. That risk turned into a turnover inside our 20 when were needed the ball. There seems to be no need to risk it given our struggles all over the field

That is your answer, OP. It's no different than any other part of the game. You have a certain attitude, a physical expectation of your team, and you sprinkle in the fact that you need to create explosive plays somewhere. Pruitt seems to favor the risky call at times. I don't have a problem with it unless the returner is 4+ yards deep.
