I'm confusing profession and politics? Does a politician get paid? The answer is yes so that is now hes/her profession. And guess what, it's not as easy as get the most votes. There are still qualifications to run for office age, nationality etc... Currently the most greed stricken, narcissistic candidate is Trump.

I really hate it when someone uses the term "ad hominem" in a post. I'm not picking on you Sep.... It's just a general peeve of mine.

It usually makes me want to beat the living hell out of the poster who uses it. It's like that Three Stooges episode where Curly goes ape **** whenever he hears pop goes the weasel.

Well, most people we refer to as a professional require degrees and credentials. Of course, there is that other profession that doesn't, but that's pretty reminiscent of political behavior anyway.

You can have your opinion of who is the most greedy and narcissistic, but a lot of us will disagree with it. In any event, it pretty much infects all politicians, so it's just a matter of degree. We'd probably be better off just selecting candidates at random from a phone book - they would be just as qualified on what matters and almost certainly be of better character.
