This is the "high times" of USCjr football to this point.

1)You have 2 losses (with games left to play)
2)You lost to UK
3)The SEC east is the worst it has been since division play. And with the best team you have had, your not a lock for your first division championship.

Phil Fulmer's last 5 years at UT were his worst.
USCjr during that time won less games and never won the SECe.

Fulmer got fired for his production, while USC is in its "high times"

There is your difference.

Because we sux--and because the Vols make too many mistakes, and that is inexcusable. Lack of talent or depth IS excusable--but not throwing pick sixes regularly, or throwing INTS in the other team's end zone regularly, or muffing punts, etc.---all the things UT does to make victory easy for the other side. There are a LOT of less than talented teams in America that keep their mistakes to an absolute minimum and therefore give themselves a chance to win. UT is not one of them.

We can look @ it like this: 2010 was year 1, 2011 (also rough) is year 2. We expect a good product in 2012. Soooooo, we are almost 1/2 way to where we wanna be. Halfway is a milestone in anything you do. Patience is a virtue.

your post is the prime example of why are UT fans acting this way, and this post shows it, beating your chest weve won this in teh past weve done this, you have never won nothin....BLAH BLAH BLAH......UT needs to be more humble or made to be more humble. you gave me a list of 3 heres my reply.

1. you have 6 loses, with game sleft to play
2. you have lost to everybody and will continue to the rest of this year and probably the next 3-5 years, you might beat Memphis, and you went to over time to beat UAB....lol
3. we are not a lock for the east but we have been getting better and better for the last 5-6 years and will continue to get better with the talent we have and thats coming in, we get 33 schollys for 2011, how many do you get???

keep dreaming of your past wins and the history of your program because thats what it is HISTORY

p.s the damn egos and attitudes of the fans are horrible on here, your a 2-6 team and might end up 3-9 and you still are COCKY...LOL

I think people expect better then 5-7 or 4-8 from a coach they are paying over 2 million dollars/yr. That was Fulmer's undoing, and will be Dooley's if UT doesn't improve it's record.

IMO Dooley would have been fired after another losing season at La Tech. It would have been his 3rd in 4 years. He can come to UT have least 3 losing seaons before he will be replaced. Making 2 million a year doing it. So stop acting like it was a gutsy move on his part. It was a no brainer.

I have seen some suggest he should be graded after he has a full roster. Not seen many say all the time in the world.

Not many of Fulmers top ten recruiting classes made an impact until their junior or senior year because he sat them until it was their turn, except for a few really great players like Peyton. Comparing a top ten class that has to play as true freshman, that have never played a snap in the SEC, and in a new system is not a fair comparison. It is time for UT fans to get real with the expectations!

Just stop. Seriously stop. Your program, and I use that term very loosely, is a gigantic sad story full delusions, mullets, and a Heisman winner who, quite literally, couldn't keep his nose clean. Up to this point, the absolute pinnacle of your program has been the Outback Bowl. Think about that for a second, the Outback Bowl. This of course is not counting the numerous pre-season, and we beat a, who beat b championships you win annually. We don't respect South Carolina, because we don't have to. Respect is something earned, and you haven't earned it yet. A first step would be beating Clemson regularly, which you can't do, but continue to thump your chest for being in the SEC. Yeah you've beat UT recently, but so has Wyoming.

You have it all backwards, its you who needs to be humble because of your past. UT should be humble, in spite of our past.

Columbia is trash dump, your stadium looks like a dead cockroach, Taneyhill, Taneyhill, Taneyhill....
