why are so many vol fans acting like we were expected to go 10-2 this year? I for one said we would at best go 6-6, but more than likely 5-7, so i personally, allthough disappointed, am not too mad. I was just wondering why everyone (or most anyways) freaks the hell out when we lose to someone we was expected to lose to in the first place? I was wanting everyone to chill, even though i know that is impossible. Thank you, now i'll hang up and listen.

Because losses hurt. When the games end people are upset but at the end of the day, most people know where we are and aren't really that surprised or mad.

You are probably right. It hurts to see our Vols lose....but we knew it would be this way this year. I, for one, will not bash this team or coaches. I am excited about Bray starting and am looking towards the future. It will get better. Go Vols!

because the coaching has been terrible. ?? I have yet to see us out coach anyone and if UAB has as much talent as us we are in for a ruff ride!..

Our Defense would make any team look solid!

Based on what I read on this forum, there appears to be a lot of folks who want the Vols to fail this year. Some may be trolls from other schools, but I also suspect they want CDD to fail because they weren't happy with the hire.
I was real careful not to use the words "Vol fan" in my post.

I haven't seen a single poster that actually wants to see the Vols lose.

I knew it was gonna be rough on a lot of Vol fans after reading GO Vols Xtra Comments this preseason. Seemed like everybody was picking us to win 8 games

By in large it is much more benign than I thought it would be at 2-6.

Because we are not showing any improvement even with so many young players on the field. We still have the same stupid mistakes and our defense is terrible. We have played a tough schedule but games are 60 minutes long not 30 minutes.

I don't think people were expecting we would get blown out in every game. TN could be 6-2 like Miss St. right now if they really wanted to. Outside of Oregon and Alabama there is really no other team on the schedule that is great. We seem to be getting get less out these last two top 10 recruiting classes than Fulmer's last two.

You are correct! I really think the play calling On offense and Defense has been very questionable at times. We are the Only team in football that seems to make no changes at half time,lol I'm not OK with piss poor coaching. We need a coach thats gona out coach a team and win a game he shouldn't!

We are not poorly coached! Look at Boise St., they don't have the best talent but they have a system that works. And it took a while for their coach to put that system together! They didn't just start from day one killing everyone they played. Give Dooley time!

Based on what? Stars next to high school players?

Look at how they panned out... now try saying Tennessee out-recruited those teams.

Games aren't played on paper and not all stud 17 year old's in high school are going to develop into stud 20 year old college players.

For instance... Jonathan Crompton and Jake Christensen were 4*. Sam Bradford and Colt McCory were 3*. Do you honestly believe Tennessee and Iowa out-recruited Oklahoma and Texas at the QB position when all was said and done?

i would like for you to go watch every game we have played and come back and tell us we have not been poorly coached! I have seen coaches take a lot less and produce better results than this. ... we have lost 2 games alone on coaching this season. I can Promise you it's not fair to the players,fans or anyone else that loves UT football!

comparing player V/s Player isn't what this threads about. I will not Bash These Kids for playing there tails off for UT. But the coaches should be improving what we have it's not like this is week 2!

You know, its also up to the players whether they improve.
