I'm referring to Kiffins only recruit class compared to Jeremy Pruitt's last class.

Consoder sleazy Jeremy Pruitt's last class (Isn't it interesting how that adjective applies to both coaches for different reasons?)

This class was once ranked around #1 in the country early on. Then bad news began appearing about Pruitt along with the team tanking.

I thought I read where 20ish players decommitted from us. Could that be true?

247 has this Vols class ranked 22 but that is before other defections after they stop reconfiguring the rankings.

The class which had only 17 players lost 8 from additional players gone. Leaving us with only 9. We did get a nice group of transfers but those are almost all upper class men not in this group.

That group of 9 players is comprised of a single 4 star player (stud receiver and future superstar :) Walker Merrill with the other 8 being 3 star guys.

So, we are left with building an SEC title contending team with one recruit class like this?????

This class is worse than the class quitter Kiffin strapped us with. We're going to be paying for it for a while.

I would have taken kiffin back and his staff in a heart beat. He had studs at assistant coaches and positional coaches. If he stayed we wouldn't of had this 15 to 20 years of being down. As much as people still hate him for taking his DREAM JOB yall need to get over it and stop letting him live rent free in yalls head.

Kiffin then Dooley.:)
I think of Dooley to Butch.
We went 8 years without a football coach. They were more like administrators than coaches.
Then Pruitt was a football coach, but no good at it.
Feels good to have a Coach's coach now.

What you don’t understand is Kiffin would have done equal to Pruitt or worse as far as violations go. You need to get over this Kiffin would have had us so much better. Also, giving him a pass for taking his dream job? Screw that.

Pruitt’s class is WAY worse. Kiffins 2010 class had some significant multi year contributors, Hunter, James, Bray, Smith, Fulton, Miller, Stone, Rivera, Darr and Palardy. Pruitt’s 2021 class has already lost 8 of 17 initial counters, and not counting transfers. Still have some good potential with the guys still here but the 2010 class was way better

and all you Kiffin lovers need to get off his nuts. Nobody’s hating on him because he took his “dream job”. Its the way he left. Calling recruits & telling them not to go to class so they could follow him to his “dream job”, screwing the university over. He was a self absorbed, immature brat back then. 13 yrs later & the only thing that has changed is he’s divorced. Dude will never change, y’all seriously need to get over it. Your man love ain’t never coming back here

bWhen people ask me why I dislike Kiffin so much, I give them this analogy:
Kiffin is the guy who gets your daughter pregnant. You get mad, but he promises to marry her.
On the day of the wedding, that you paid for, he runs off with a stripper and you never see him again.
In other words, Kiffin is a Do***ebag.

If he had stayed UT would have gotten nailed for recruiting violations. The man may have left for his DREAM JOB but that means nothing when you call kids and ask them to leave with you, tell them not to go to class. Lane is a dbag, always has been, always will be.

He hasn't done anything like that after he left there is no evidence to say he would have continued to do that. There is evidence to say the opposite though

I'm referring to Kiffins only recruit class compared to Jeremy Pruitt's last class.

I remember well posters, with very good reason, angrily doing posts about how sleazy Kiffin left town with his tail tucked between his legs. When the smoke began clearing, and this all took 18 months or so, a sober analysis of his sole class was dismaying to say the least. Pure and simple it fell apart. Many here said it's imploding set us back for so long.

Fast forward now to sleazy Jeremy Pruitt's last class (Isn't it interesting how that adjective applies to both coaches for different reasons?)

This class was once ranked around #1 in the country early on. Then bad news began appearing about Pruitt along with the team tanking.

Both classes were good. The ones that remained from Kiffin's inherited Dooley, those who stayed from Pruitt's, well we put 6 guys into the pros that were not heading there before hand. Add two more at least most likely if Hooker and Tillman play at the same level. The rest that left all ended up doing very well sans Gray. I think Gray and Evans would have run all over everyone in Huepel's O. Anyways, neither were bad classes IMO.
