I think this could be a wild tourny with all the upsets we have seen this season and no real dominating team. Here is my upset picks and potential upset picks.

Upsets I see happening:
Wisc.-Milwaukee over Oklahoma
Montana over Nevada

Potential Upset Watch:
Murray State over UNC
Air Force over Illinois
San Diego State over Indiana
Kent State over Pitt
Southern Illinois over West Virginia
Texas A&M over Syracuse

Air Force has absolutely no shot. Their unjustified tourney appearance will, mercifully for the basketball watching public, be very short.

for what its worth, and its probably not gonna be worth much, I think this tourney will be an upset desert. I think the faves win 98-99% of the games.

I think Indiana will either get hot and go to the Elite 8 or so, or lose in the first round. I picked San Diego State in about half my brackets against IU...

I think IU gets past San Diego State but will get blasted by the Zags.

How are the Bulldogs from Gonzaga going to blast anyone? Their biggest win all year was a 17 point win at home against Portland!

If all the Gonzaga groupies would please just look at their scores from this year, and then realize that Gonzaga is not capable of 'blasting' anyone!

Heck, they played a total of 4 NCAA tournament teams this year...and beat 1! Should have been seeded somewhere around 6 or 7.

So? A win is a win. And besides, I think having close games all season helped them prepare for the tournament, even if it was against lowly WCC competition.

Well, wncvolfan, I think Duke's depth will be exhausted by then and LSU just has too many big men for Duke to put down. I do believe, however, that Texas has the combination of inside power and decent outside place to handle LSU and just about any other team in the country, hence I have the Longhorns winning the the whole shebang.

Dang, I thought having UWM (milwaukee wisc) in the Sweet 16 would set me apart but several have mentioned it.

Am I the only one with South Alabama taking out the Gators?

Northwestern has a shot at Iowa as well

Close games against teams that do not even show up in the top 100 of the RPI is supposed to prepare Gonzaga for the tournament??? Gonzaga hasn't even played a tournament team since December (they lost by double digits,) and hasn't beaten one since before Thanksgiving. They are not deep enough to get better scrimmaging against their second team, and lord knows, they aren't getting any better playing in their conference.

Call me crazy but my big upset in the first round is ... Murray St over North Carolina... My reason being is that UNC is probably overlooking Murray st because of a probable second round match up with michigan state. Theyre probably looking forward to playing Michigan St. ... If theyre not careful, Murray State could take them.

I've got Carolina beating the Racers but I could very easily see Murray State winning the game. The Racers are always solid and with UNC being so young they might not be ready for the atmosphere.
