He could physically go last week per Pruitt and Pruitt refused to play him, only played JG despite JG’s broken wrist and an unforgivable, yet again, end zone turnover. Maurer SHOULD be the starter, but you better believe Pruitt is gonna go with JG no matter what.

Good lord K Town..... it’s not all about stats! I’ve not seen ONE person claim he’s ready but that’s just how it worked out. But you and your “squad” expect the kid to be at Tuas level as a freshman before you’ll admit he’s better for this team. News flash...This team was left for dead, playing uninspired and just going through the motions in losing efforts before Pruitt pulled the trigger. If you can’t see that then idk what to tell you other than you’re as blind as a bat. But I believe you just choose to be blind. I think you see it and you’re threatened.

This is pretty dang accurate. As of now, I don’t think JG is anywhere close to as bad as most on here make him out to be, but this team did look different with 18 behind center. They looked good with 15, 2 and 12 behind center in the SC game...who knows??? Go Vols!

Deerpark said he couldn't hit the side of a barn since he's been cleared. I know I've said this several times, and I apologize to all those that have seen it.

I've seen people say they think he (Maurer) might really be hurt despite Pruitt saying he was cleared. Maybe he is, or maybe Deerpark is correct. There could be many reasons why Pruitt will start and/or play JG that we haven't thought of or we just don't know. But you and some others are gonna continue to play the "I'm smarter than Pruitt card" because you think he's "infatuated" with him.

Keep screaming it KB, just like you did JG and his stats all off season. Condescend everyone that disagrees with you because you you're smarter than everyone else. Obviously you're never wrong.

Most of us see what he’s provided. We see he moves the offense but has things he needs to improve as any other freshman does. These damn stat huggers gotta be rooting against UT when he’s in the game just to have their “I told you so” moment. #fakea$$fans

With all due respect they were saying the same thing about Maurer during camp. Funny how the narrative changed once he became the starter and all of a sudden the reports said he was by far the most accurate. Then he gets hurt and now the narrative is back to what it was. These kids don’t forget how to throw a football. It’s what got them here.

Remember everyone telling me I was full of crap after watching practice myself and seeing the exact opposite of the reports? I wouldn’t put too much stock into reports where all they get to see is routes on air. Js

There are. No doubt. But I’ve been accused of being a JG hater and all I’ve done is support whoever is in. I do believe Maurer is most talented of the QBs but I also understand he’s got a lot to learn. I see the freshman him and I’m anxiously awaiting the junior him. Until then I understand there will be mistakes and don’t/won’t put too much into “stats”. Once this game slows down for him he’s going to be the last qb that ANY SEC teams want to play against.

Here's my opinion. I think if Maurer can play and isnt still hampered by his injuries, hell play. If he doesn't play, I believe Pruitt has a good reason and I'll trust that over what any of you guys say. You're like a broken record.

Damn dude. Once again..... no need to be rude. Maybe you think that about me because I’ve been defending what Ive known to be untrue since I joined. I’ll continue to be the same way like it or not. The “opinion” that you’re referring to was just telling people not to believe everything they read because the media has tendencies to “slant” to stick to a narrative. You can believe anything you like and/or put me in any category you wish. But the FACT still remains that I was telling the truth and the only thing that proved a lie/opinion was the narrative I was speaking out against.

There have literally never been reports calling him the most accurate.

He is at 50% so I would say that reports of inaccurate passing have been supported by his play.
