I have a few names that i think we will most likely send invites too.

Spurrier: Herd he actually wants to coach In Knoxville.
Cutcliff: Just b/c UT is his blood.
Gruden: B/c 104.5 the zone started the rumor. I think its b/s but who knows.

To be honest those are the only 3 i can think of that would actually come to this crap whole of a program right now. I know most people are going to say butch davis, but i think hes to old and didnt i hear some where on the forum that his agent said he was not interested?

We can get anyone we want. I highly doubt spurrier would even step foot in knoxville other than playing football against us.

Time to put down the bottle and go to bed man. Spurrier doesn't want to coach here. Cutler likes playing QB for Denver and Chucky likes the sun. I know you meant Cutcliff but I think Cut is fine where he is.

Who in the heck would want Steve Spurrier? He supposed to be an offensive guru, but he has looked like anything but a guru at USCe.

Spurrier: He does not have many years left.
Cutler: I think you mean Cutcliffe, too close to Fulmer to replace him
Gruden: Interesting ties...his wife was a UT cheerleader and her family still lives in the area. I believe that he is a long shot though.

I live in Nashville and on 104.5 the other night they had the guy from Texas Rivals site talking about Will Muschamp. Said that he grew up in Rome, GA. He played at UGA. Said he had great ties to recruiting in the SEC (of course from days at LSU and Auburn). I just don't know about someone who has not been a head coach.

What about Todd Graham at Tulsa? He is a defensive guy but has the one of the best offenses in the country (Gus Malzahn is the OC).

An interesting name off the cuff...Kevin Steele (UT '81 graduate). He is Alabama's current DC. He has a great coaching resume. From 89-94, he coached LBs under Tom Osbourne at Nebraska and he spent 4 years at Florida State and was named the 2005 national recruiter of the year.

I just hope that TN doesn't have to settle for the 5th or 6th choice. If they get turned down by several candidates, that could be really embarrassing. I wish they would just throw the cash a Gruden and get him in here. 5 million per year would make him think twice about it IMO.

No Muschamp - 30+ three times this year.

Better off keeping Chavis as DC.

I have a feeling they give Steele a look as well. He's a UT alum and it would give Tennessee a shot to stick it to bammer. Steele would also keep Chavis which could help retain some recruits. And, maybe Clawson stays (good or bad?) and has a chance to run his offense with no pressure from Fulmer. Regardless, we definitely need a new WR coach and an O-line coach. These players are not coached up very well.

I also privately wonder if they fire Clawson and take a look at bringing back Trooper Taylor as OC and WR coach. OkSt has been very efficient this season.

Spurrier is older than Davis :birgits_giggle:...Cutcliffe needs to stay right where he is...Gruden, Absolutely ZERO chance of us getting him...Why people even bring it up is beyond me anymore...He's NOT leaving Tampa Bay...He's got it made there...Ok, Next list...Anyone anyone?
