Who's the best QB in the SEC thru 6 weeks?

I think we all understand your point. Everybody on here would trade Bray for McCarron if the rest of the team and the current W-L record would switch as well. Because if we just had McCarron on our team, we would likely have lost to NCSU and lost by 30 to UGA and UF.

But that is all a fantasy at this point and not really worth debating.

What is interesting is that you seem to place a premium on production, but you don't seem to be lobbying for Manziel much. I don't have the exact numbers, but suffice it to say that no QB in the conference is close to him in overall production.

But then, why would you prop him up since you are an Alabama fan? The same reason why you won't find many UT FANS on a UT FORUM to admit that McCarron is a better QB than Bray.

Like I said, we get your point though.

Actually, I haven't made a list. I was simply detailing the Bray-McCarron comparison.

I think Manziel is a heck of a player. I like the athleticism he brings to the table. I wouldn't trade him for McCarron at this point, because McCarron is smarter with the ball. But Manziel has plenty of time to improve his game.

Fair enough. Like I said though, it is a really tough comparison because of the talent they are surrounded with. I generally subscribe to the theory that good players find a way to win, but there are just too many examples in history to show us that football doesn't really work that way.

McCarron is clearly much more productive when he's asked to throw the ball.

McCarron is a mediocre QB on a great team. He's much less productive than Bray.

Bray is the SEC passing leader.

UT has the number one passing game in the league.

Those are the facts.

So, again, you'd rather have the guy who nets almost a yard less per completion, has to complete more than 4 more passes per touchdown, and throws more picks. I don't understand your decision, but I won't argue.

I'd rather have the top passing game in the league. That's what we have.

Negavolteer is not a true vol fan.

Everyone knows youre a troll from another team. You're not fooling anyone.

Bray is a very talented QB. It's a shame that he hasn't had better coaching.

Yeah I'm sure Drew Brees agrees with you. If he had a better coach in college he could be making some big money now........... oh wait, he is.

Numbers depend a lot on the system. Shaw is nowhere near the NFL prospect that Bray is, but he is capable of making a lot of plays with his legs that Mr. 5.4 second 40 yd Dash would have no chance of making when the play breaks down. He might not technically be a better QB when it comes to NFL talent, but he makes plays.

At this point, Bray is a poor man's Tim Couch in 1998; and despite Couch's superior passing ability, give me Tee Martin any day of the week, especially on Saturday.

If Bray were cultivated on a team with a stifling defense, and a crushing running game that he could actually play action out of I am pretty sure he would be unstoppable. It's tough to be the best QB in the league when your run game is so inconsistent and your defense gives up so many points against good competition.

Bray won't have a problem making money. I was simply saying that it is unfortunate that he hasn't had any decent coaching since he has been in college.

This plus one.

which QB would have rather had last night???? lol

your bafooness is unquantifiable in this thread. How many more poor performances do you need to see from Bray to realize he SUCKS (when it matters) !!??

What say you?

No way ,Driskel is better than Bray
Not so sure Murray is.He is about like Bray you pressure him and he gets rattled.Bray has thrown balls also that have been dropped.

Nonsense, Driskel can make plays and win a game with his feet.... Bray can't and hasn't proven he can win at this level Peroid

AJ McCarron is the best game manager and safest QB in the SEC....that also gives you what the teams needs when the QB needs to step forward to make a play.
