Nobody said anything about "bowing down" to anybody. I always expect our guys to play hard and compete and win the games they're favored in and occasionally win the games they're not. But I had no expectation, for example, that our guys would go out to Oregon a couple years ago and win.....and after Oregon went on a 59-0 run, I'd say my expectation was pretty fair, wouldn't you?
You should stop being a fan then.
I snuck a peak at that game back in 2012 eventhough I wasn't following the team as intently as I do now and I still expected them to win.
After we went up 7-0 I became even more confident. Too bad we couldn't pull it off.

just wondering who thinks its close
10 point win
or absolute blowout
cant help but notice the confidence which ill admit is for a reason youve recruited well and return dobbs, kamara, hurd on offense
plus barnett, jrm, sutton, and quite a few youngsters that should get better like kirkland, tuttle, mckenzie, phillips etc
wr are stacked with talent too but zach azzanni kind of sucks almost like muschamp wr coaches
Please don't go to the game.
We don't need people with negative energy like you polluting the atmosphere when we destroy Florida this year.
florida is starting an inexperienced, journeyman QB, has big issues on the oline, wide receiver, and RB, and a bunch of gaps on D. UT will win this game easily!!! Lay the money and bet the house!!
Ok, here it goes.
1. This class rankings stuff is great and all, but I don't care where they were rated coming out of high school, Muschamp's offensive signees are as useless as air brakes on a pregnant turtle. As I have said previously, at some point you judge players by what they do on the field. Antonio Callaway was a 3 star recruit and he is the best skill position player Florida has had since Percy Harvin. Luke Del Rio hasn't played a down yet and he will become the best QB Florida has had since Tim Tebow if he can accomplish the simple goal of not being absolutely terrible and being able to start more than 6 games. Florida was dead last in yards per rushing attempt in the SEC last season. Now, I can go man for man and position by position, but there is nowhere for this group to go but up. Year 2 with a roster full of people who have been in the system, now have a clue and aren't getting beaten out by guys who transfer from Fordham is a positive. While the class rankings, class rankings, class rankings mantra can be echoed over and over.....damn near every school in the country with recruiting classes ranked who knows where have put better offenses on the field than Florida. As the turds left behind by Muschamp get flushed, things will continue to improve....starting this season.
At some point, you guys have to be consistent. You can't "lol" and mock Florida for how bad they suck on the offensive side of the ball and not find it probable that improvement is likely. How can the Florida offense be worse? How can field goal kicking at Florida be worse?
2. As far as the defense is concerned, I went looking for impartial sources so as to get an outside opinion of the situation that you all will find credible. In every 2017 NFL mock draft I could find, Tabor and Davis are 1st round draft picks. I have even seen a couple of mock drafts that have Marcus Maye selected in the 1st round. While that may be too high, he will be drafted. Caleb Brantley, Quincy Wilson and Bryan Cox will also be drafted. This does not include CeCe Jefferson who will be drafted when eligible. It is a solid, solid group.
Again, this is not a championship caliber club. I am not making that claim. Nor am I saying that this club is better than Tennessee.
But, I know Florida's roster. I know what they had before and what they have now. They are better now.
I'm not going to go into detail now, but I can later if you like.
Last season, they had a bunch of freshman and a transfer from Fordham playing on the o-line. They had a field goal kicker who couldn't kick the ball over the line of scrimmage.
Saying they will be better "on paper" really isn't a stretch.
The whole "year 2" thing is something that a lot of people casually dismiss as well.
I know people will ignore it because of things KBVol posts regarding Florida, but he can tell you what I thought of Florida's talent level last year.
So, considering the source (me), the argument that the team will be better is not surprising because I argued it was the worst Gator roster I have seen since the late 80's which were effected by probation.
I respect this. You should believe your team will win.
However these 2 statements are delusional. You have had 2 subpar recruiting classes allowing Tennessee to finally pass you in the 4 year composite for the first time in forever. Your starting QB is a guy who couldn't make it in Oregon State. You lost 7 players to the draft including 3 of your 5 best defensive players. Oh and you're on the road against a team that returns everyone from a team you needed several miracles to defeat.
Every objective measure says you'll lose this year. Probably badly.
But at least I respect your fanhood. Nothing disgusts me more than a fan who thinks their team will lose. I'm looking at you KBVol.
