Interesting take- that I am the instigator. All I do is take issue with some some of the myths about the horrors of Gainesville while responding to sarcasm in kind. You can choose to ignore my posts if you like.

I've been there two times (twice in the 90's) and Fla fans WILL throw stuff at you . This is a fact , I've seen it with my own eyes . Not isolated events either

I don't think it has changed, but the gutless gators put the visitors up in the top four rows around the entire stadium rather than in a section. the stadium is a ring of orange at the top. The gutless ones are amused as the visitors are spaced around so that the volume is reduced. I have been to a few UT-Gator Games, a Gator Miami game and it was the same. I have been to FSU games in Tally and they treat the visitors with respect,seating the visitors in one section so they can sit together.Also been to a few USF games and they also sit visitors together in a section. Gators do not have class

definitely a good time at the bars on both friday and saturday night. i've been there the last three times we've played down there. there's this one place on saturday nights that literally has free beers until midnight (gotta tip of course), the place is called "crocs" or something, hell i don't remember.

as for the fans, you will most definitely get yelled out, and there are quite a few "classless" fans who are rude beyond belief, but last year, we actually tailgated with a BUNCH of uf people that we didn't know and they were mostly nice, at least the ones that would talk to us. we were obviously the cooler guys, shotgunning beers and all, no gators would join in.

and oh yeah, the mid-day games are unbelievably hot, you will almost pass out, it's that bad. like someone else said, drink plenty of water with your whiskey.

I'm hoping to get a lot of Jack Daniels into the game in my fake binoculars, which they never check. It makes the game more "enjoyable."
