I was at a college game at "The GEC" several years ago and I noticed some guys in the upper/club level seats sipping on some tall ones.If they wasn't brew, it sure fooled me.Kind of surprised it being a college event and all.

Yes they sale alcohol at the GEC for a college game the only reason they don't on campuses is most are "dry" campuses.

Remember. To those of you going to the UT game,be sure to hustle back home,to your hotel room or whatever, so you can catch possibly the greatest quarterback ever to play the game, beat the Bengals on Monday night football.:)

Ah heck. Finally a decent MNF game and the Vols are playing the same night. Figures... 'least they won't overlap too much.

Go Orange teams. :rock2:

He's certainly the best active QB.
Is "active" the operative word here? Obviously you know I disagree with that statement. Rookies usually have an interception problem. Maybe Brett Favruhhh is reverting back toward rookiness somewhat like senior citizens revert back towards diapers, with his escalating interception stats. I'm sorry, the man is over the hill. I'm not interested in making a bunch of comparisons (unless of course you want me to) among active QBs to Peyton. Let's just let the season play out and then the discussion can heat up post season. Whatdya say?

I chose not to quote the above post as I di'nt think there was a high chance of someone beating me to the punch....but to be fair don't you think that Brett has a harder road in his image upkeep with the cast he has around him?...I'll grant he has declined some but his wr's..his backs...and that o-line?...dayum. The man should get a medal everytime he suits up. IMO I agree with Hat....he belongs with Marino/Elway/Montana...the last of the great QB's of our time. The qb's we see now are just shadows of those 4 QB's.:twocents:

When I comment on these threads, I usually hate to get off the original topic, but this thread seems to be pretty far gone. So...............

I think Favre has to be considered one of the best ever at his position. He has won a Super Bowl, and his stats speak for themselves. I think alot of his "decline" can be attributed to not having alot of talent around him.

That being said, though - I did lose a little respect for Favre when he did the "Strahan flop" so Strahan could set the sack record.
