Whomever coaches our kickers should be fired...

much better than the last 2 years, Safeties did hurt us tonight, but we just don't have the depth for a starting injury. McNeil will get it.

I feel like our secondary has looked confused from the first snap of the NC State game for the most part

Something that helps is not expecting a True Freshman kicker to walk out there and wow everyone. Our fan base is the worst for jumping all over a kicker and booing him the first time he doesn't get it right. Palardy was a bust in the eyes of UT fans the first time his kickoff didn't go through the back of the endzone and he has never recovered.

All the other kickers I have seen in my lifetime have had a hard time managing this fanbase as well, and it takes them until their junior year to get their head in it. I also find it ironic that it always seems like they perform better away from home.

Palardy-2/2 in the GA Dome, 0/1 at Neyland this year. He was 2/3 on field goals and had everyone calling for his head. Yes, he did miss two XP but both were terrible snaps, just saying. I genuinely think we don't have to look far to find the problem.

*More stats for people that seem to think he is the spawn of satan:

7/7:20-29 yds
6/8:30-39 yds
2/6:40-49 yds which is no walk in the park
1/3:50-59 yds long of 52.

This is all considering most of these kicks were in his freshman and sophmore seasons. I will go out on a limb and say he will have a good season if they let him.

I have never seen a kicking game at UT as bad as this one. 4 missed extra points 5 games into the season... Missed chip shot FG's. Are the kickers actually being coached?

It is not the coaches. It is the kickers. Remember the old saying "You can lead a horse to water, but you can not make him drink" Coaches coach, player are the ones who have to do the job.

Does UT even scout HS kickers ? or go by the stars some HS coach gives the kid ? Seems FCS schools have decent kickers maybe they should scout/recruit them instead of an untested HS kid.

Wilhoit tried and they basically said no thanks...

There are NCAA rules about the number of coaches who can attend practices. He could set up a camp and charge a minimum fee. However, the would have to be open to the entire public for the same fee..
