I live at Clemson ground zero. Many of my friends are obnoxious Clemson fans. I'll deal with it.

I hope Clemson flattens the elephants.

I honestly think we're in a recruiting battle with both school with some of our commits and ex commits.

Example A: Kongbo with Bama

Example B: Tee Higgins Clemson(this is Jmo)

So who do you want to win and why?

It does not help UT at all if Alabama wins another title - especially with recruiting. Since we play them every year and they are in the SEC I hope Alabama loses every game.

I have to say taking down Bama next year while their on top and still under Saban would be much sweeter.

Wish it could end in a tie. 0-0

A note on "rivalry voting":

The Oxford Dictionary defines rivalry as, "Competition for the same objective or for superiority in the same field."
  • Same objective: to win a ball game ... or a series of ball games played year after year.
  • Superiority in the same field: the SEC ... or Nationwide.
By that definition, every team in the SEC East, plus Alabama, are ongoing rivals for the Vols. Makes sense. In addition, the other teams of the SEC West are some-time rivals.

So the Vols have seven ongoing rivalries (Bama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Vandy, South Carolina, Mizzou), plus a number of historic rivalries (Georgia Tech, Auburn, Ole Miss, Miss State, etc.) that we revisit from time to time.

Nowhere in the definition is anything about hate, or even dislike. There is nothing that says you have to hope a rival will lose against other teams when it would have no impact on your team's standing.

In short, we can't blame the rivalry with Bama for refusal to support them in next week's championship game. Gonna have to own up to some good old-fashioned dislike (or hate) instead.

Which is perfectly fine, of course. :)

ALL, and I mean each and every one of you guys on here....really need to call up Peyton Manning and tell him to turn in his VFL card.....

Because he did travel to Bama on purpose to meet with Saban and help Saban learn to defend the hurry-up as well as learn how Saban attempts to stop the HUNH offense...

Either way---convict him because he's "collaboratin' with da toofleth enemy"

There was a time when it was considered noble to RESPECT and HONOR your enemy...

Neyland, Majors, Fulmer, etc...etc....all never had anything but RESPECT for Bear and Bama teams....sure--they wanted to beat the crap out of them, but always had respect....

And Bear ALWAYS had extreme RESPECT for the VOLS...

You guys are truly an embarrassment to VOLNATION....and every SEC fan.....

I did hear the Bama crowd chanting SEC, SEC, SEC last night, too!
