"Who wouldn't want to be a RB in this system?!"

Also when they tried to put Dobbs and Peyton in same category of QB's in UT history.

Both announcers took some digs at Hurd, especially Ware. He more or less called Hurd a quitter, said he would not draft him and believes he will have trouble getting drafted, and also said he thinks that ultimately Hurd will regret his decision.

The Vols won't regret his decision. That's the irony. Jalen helped us by getting Kelly reps and killed his draft stock

Did anyone think Ware's digs at Hurd were unprofessional? Basically called him a quitter several times and said he would not draft him.

My hats off to him for tell it like it is. He is a quitter. I would want nothing to do with him if I was an NFL owner. Cancer in the locker room

I think the comments were professional by definition. Ware is a former NFL player. He's entitled to say something like that.

I agree with him. He is a quitter and I just wish he had quit before the season so Kelly could have busting runs all year.

Well, Hurd did quit... and saying he would not draft him is just an opinion (but I bet some teams do pass on Hurd for that reason).

I'm not saying I don't agree with Ware's comments. I don't have any problem with what he said and tbh I'd be embarrassed if I were Hurd. Comments like that have got to sting. My buddy was watching the game with me and felt like Ware's comments were a little unprofessional.

Is pretty obvious who is putting the effort in at running back and who was not. No doubt he'll get a chance at the next level. Who knows how he will do but there is one thing for certain. He did quit on the team and VolNation

Ware made a big point about Hurd quitting in the middle of the season. He didn't seem to care so much that he quit but more of when he quit. He made it clear that quitting on your team mid season is just about the worst thing you can do. He basically said Hurd will have to explain that to NFL teams and there's virtually no good explanation.

Announcers also said Hurd wanted to play WR at the next level. Haven't heard that.

It's really sad too because I actually thought Hurd was a good dude and cared about the team. From the beginning, I thought he'd just be the guy who was always injured, never imagined he'd be the guy who quit.
