1 or 2 existing teams left. Just a hypothetical question, of course. No one's leaving. Just wondering who everyone thinks would be a good fit.

Florida State would be my first choice. If it were to be an SEC West team then Missouri or Texas would be nice.

You guys are looking way too far out of the Southeast for these teams (Texas??? Nebraska????) The two most logical choices would be Georgia Tech and Louisville. Louisville wouldn't exactly help our academics, but Tech would balance them out I guess, not to mention both are good to great in both of the major money making sports.

MTSU is a growing program, the school now has more students than UT. And if I recall they did beat Vandy twice in the late 90's or early 2000's. They have brought talent of folks like Kelly Holcumbe(splling?) and Calico. They have given Bama a run for their money once or twice and played a great first half against louisville. just food for thought.

The only reason they have more students than UT or Memphis (I'd like to see the numbers on that by the way) is because of the control and limits put on these schools by the State, and the board of regents respectively.

I think VA Tech would be a good fit - out of all the ACC schools they have an SEC feel, passionate about football, they would further strengthen the conference (not that we need it) and they would also help extend the SEC market up into the northern virginia/DC Metro area, where they have a lot of alumni.

MTSU can't even fill up its stadium when they GIVE tickets away. And their students all head home for the weekends. They are NOT SEC caliber. Sorry.
