Some of the guys mentioned are about as old as Fulmer, but were mentioned in other threads. I think we need a young guy.

I had a UGA alum mention Brian VanGorder who had a great history there. He's with Petrino at the Falcons right now.

Van Gorder was a disaster at Georgia Southern last year. I'd say he's right where he needs to be.

Greg Shiano-Would probably be my choice due to I think he is a smack them in the mouth football coach. He is a college coach that would be in for the long haul.

My number 1 choice is Bobby Petrino. I live in Louisville and have to say that I pull for the CARDS cause they aint playing the VOLs. Petrino is one of the greatest college football minds in the business. But this will never happen.

I think Schiano would be amazing as well but he has stated numerous times that he is in it for the long haul at Rutgers. And, he is not Saban so I believe him.

Another write-in for Schiano.

As to what he said about wanting to stay at Rutgers for the long haul, I think that had more to do with being diplomatic in turning down a school where he used to coach, and what went unsaid was that Miami was a situation he did not want to walk into.
