Who would you consider to be the "worst" team of our current bad season streak?

Basically spanning from 2008 to 2013. Which of these teams do you think was the worst one we fielded? Essentially, which one do you think would lose to all the others?

This will probably come as a surprise to most, but I think it was the 2012 team. Even with an absolutely loaded offense, the defense/coaching of that team was bad enough that I think you almost have to say they were the worst. Keep in mind this is not an argument of talent, as the 2012 team was loaded with talent. Just a matter of overall play when you factor in what they did on the field. My reasons why:

-You'd be lying to yourself if you said Akron didn't scare the crap out of you that year. We ended up stomping them, but that game was way too close for way too long.

-Troy...... dear Lord 5-7 Troy......

-Points wise about on par with the other Bama beatings, but on the field felt like the worst Alabama beating of them all. A first down felt like a miracle that game.

-Curb stomped by Vanderbilt.

Ironically IIRC the 2012 team was the only one spanning from '08 to '13 that broke the Top 25. Though it was short lived.

Let's skip getting beat by Wyoming, near losses to Air Force and UAB...all has been well for 20 years.

2012 against Akron

I only have a chance to go to one maybe two games a year. In 2012 that game was Akron. Wow! I never thought UT could sink to such a level. One of the worst displays of football I have ever had to endure.

For anyone who thinks we may turn it around big this year, Akron is a sobering reminder of how far we have fallen. The good news is - IMO We are getting back up.

Not so sure about that. Bray, Hunter, and C Patt would have ripped last year's D to shreds, especially without Maggitt.

Yeah, but last year's Offense would've ran the ball down their throats and gotten a couple of stops on D.

the 2013 Defense wasn't all that bad. Just had no depth and not a whole lot of speed

Worley would have the game of his life though. And our poor Sal coached secondary would be dominated by North and Pig.

Do have to say however I bet CP houses at least one kickoff on the 2013 team. Our special teams D last year was atrocious.

I don't wanna say 2013, because they did beat USCe, but there were some MAJOR blowout losses and the first half of the Florida game should be dubbed "the turd bowl" because it's the worst football I've seen in 20 years of watching.

Looking at past season results is painful. The 2011 squad scored less than 10 points FIVE times. From 1995-2004, that only happened twice (Miami and Maryland).

While 2011 was definitely rough, I didn't pick them for 2 reasons.

1. Wilcox was still the DC.

2. Before the injuries piled up that year it felt like we were steamrolling. We beat a 10 win Cincy team with relative ease and before injuries set in at one point we had Bray, Hunter, Da'Rick, and Rivera on the field at the same time, which is deadly.

I was working on a response but it is just too painful.

I am really hoping 10yrs from now we will be calling CBJ our savior.
