There has been some talk about Coach Cut getting another chance at being a head coach some where next year. Lets say this happens, who would we get? Also I am pretty sure at the end of the season if Slade doesnt retire he will be told to kick rocks, who does everyone think we will get to replace him?? Just want to hear everyones thoughts.

Call Ga Southern and ask permission to speak to Chris Hatcher. It won't happen, but one day somebody is going to do it and they will end up glad they did.

True that. He's a good one.

Personally, I have never had a problem with Cutcliffe and it is hard for me to imagine who will replace him. I do think that it might be important to the program to keep Trooper Taylor around and if that takes making him a coordinator then maybe you just have to do it and look for some journeymen assistants who can help him learn on the job.

Georgia Tech is supposedly talking to him about their head coaching spot

I will say that if Cut leaves and Trooper doesn't get it...Trooper will leave too...after the last go round...Dan Morrison - the QB coach at Hawaii - wouldn't be a bad pickup. Probably pretty in demand. But...based on his success with Colt Brennan and Tommy Chang...(who have accounted for all but 2 years of his time there)...he probably would deserves a shot to be someone's OC.

I say give Trooper a shot if Cutcliffe leaves. The only reason not to do this would be if there is an OC out there that was so great we couldn't afford not to take him

or if there was an available OC with any experience whatsoever

So is Southern Miss apparently. I'm telling you, somebody is going to hire this guy and he's going to start lighting up scoreboards.

Trooper has never called one Offensive play and you want to give him the OC position? Could you ellaborate on your reason's why?

He would be an outstanding get, a very very good young up and coming coach who could slide in to the Head Coaching slot someday.

I think alot of these kind of quotes are simply most fans love this guy, he is our number one recruiter, and maybe one of the best in the country. He is also and outstanding position coach, much much better than Rodney Garner. UT is going to have to step and give this guy something someday, the way UGA did with Garner to keep the vultures away.
