I thought it was basically a tie with a slight edge to Obama, but I thought that last time and apparently Obama crushed in the instant polls and subsequent polls. Obama connected better with voters and that is generally how the winner is determined. McCain had a great closing statement. Brokaw was awful.
I didn't see that happen at all. At the end of the debate they both sort of went in opposite directions before meeting at the side a few minutes later. In fact, I think McCain went over and put his hand on Obama's shoulder and acknowledged him.
Okay, I found it. It does look like he leaves Obama hanging... In his defense, I think they did shake hands immediately after the debate ended. Maybe once was enough?
