Who wins the SEC East in 2016

I'm surprised they got Mizzou at 4. I expect them to finish dead last in the East this season.

The bottom 4, put in a hat and draw, any order they come out is fine. They are all irrelevant.

We gotta handle business, win the east, let loose in Atlanta(maybe twice), then ball out in Tampa.

Go Vols!

Make no mistake, we have to take one game at a time and be the best team on the field each week. . . .however. . . .This team is not looking to make some noise or raise some eyebrows or even sneak up on anyone. . . .quite simply, this team is looking to run the table and hoist another NC trophy!!!!

I say we lose to Alabama & Florida again but we are the S.E.C. East rep. in Championship game. Florida will lose three S.E.C. games this season but not to us.

Tennessee should win. Unless Florida can pull another rabbit out of their hat...

I will say this, if they DO pull a rabbit out of their hat, McElwain will truly be his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children.

I'm just glad we don't have to travel to Mizzou to play them this year. That game had me nervous last year being one of the coldest in our history and with all the turmoil around Mizzou and their coach retiring. Had trap game written all over it. Having 4 out of our last 6 games at home this year (Bama and USC away) is a good feeling.

2016 season BOLD prediction
- 2 regular season losses, a close loss to A&M and blow out loss to Bama
- then we go to the SEC Championship UT (10-2) vs. LSU (11-1 with loss vs Ole Miss), and we win
- after winning the SEC Championship, we are left on the outside looking in with a record of (11-2), and Bama ends up going to the playoffs as a 1-loss team only dropping a game to LSU, and losing tie breaker which put them out of the SEC Championship.
- Bama wins another national title
- we cry

We will beat the Gators like a rented mule in Knoxville. Toughest game besides Tide is Georgia on the road. Don't see us coming out of Athens with a W. So we better be hoping Ole Miss, Auburn and the Gators get them or with our 2 losses being to the Dawgs and Bama, Georgia has the tie breaker and goes to Atlanta. That's how I see it playing out. Unless the Dawgs lose all three of those games they win the East. But in a perfect world we take the Tide out and probably play Ole Miss for the title unless they are on probation by then. :)

honestly, i think this is a realistic outcome as well. the wildcard is just how good can/will GA be with the new coaching staff, new, freshman qb? chubb and michel are great backs, but can they really do it all?

i just don't know what to make of GA. we'll have an idea after the Ole Miss game, but our trip to Athens is HUGE.

i would trade wins over GA and FL for Losses to aTm and Bama right now and not think twice about it.:)

One thing about UGA is they SHOULD be coming off of a loss at Ole Miss before us, and could potentially be 2-2 if North Carolina wins the opener. This could either light a fire underneath them or send their season into a downward spiral. Also, we are their first true game in Athens in 2016, should be a rabid environment (pun intended referring to grown men barking).

Conference SIDs predict how SEC East will finish Gallery Slides

No. 1 - Tennessee

What AL.com said: "The SEC East SIDs expect Tennessee to break through and win the division this year. Coming off a 9-4, 5-3 season, Tennessee returns quarterback Joshua Dobbs, running back Jalen Hurd, linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin and defensive end Derek Barnett."

If Dobbs can learn to push the ball down the field consistently and accurately we easily win the East, and will have a legitimate shot at being SEC champs.

I see the same thing that you see, except we beat A & M and lose to Florida.
In the S.E.C. we stop LSU running game and keep their q.b. from planting his feet to make any throws.
This is the year that we get revenge on LSU for beating us for 4 or 5 straight times.

My order of least confident victories:

Georgia
Alabama
aTm
Florida
Feel good about the rest as long as we show up ready to play.

We have no business overlooking the road games in Athens and College Station. Those will be difficult games. Winnable, absolutely, but definitely lose able too.

I just don't see how anyone could expect us to lose to UF this season. We have the better team. The match ups will favor us in a big way. The game is at home. Our special teams will be ridiculous. Predicting as loss to UF without some kind of devastating multiple injury situation to base it on is absolutely crazy. UGA and Bama would be the more likely losses.

Last year Butch showed, multiple times, that he is happy to sit on a lead and try to wait the clock out. Any coach that does that will be "upset" more times than a coach that just continues the game plan that got you the lead. I fully expect UT to have a 2 score lead against UF in the 3rd then to completely abandon the passing game and only run Dobbs or Hurd.

I'm saying we go something like 2-12. Lose every single regular season game. But make it to the playoffs based off of hype alone and win the natty.
