@rickklein: For the first time in 30 years of polling, a majority of Americans have an unfavorable view of the Democratic Party. Trouble Looms for Obama, Democrats with Election Day 2014 Approaching - ABC News
Poll: Nunn Leads Perdue in Georgia Senate Race | The Weekly Standard
Nunn 48% Perdue 45%
Her being Sam Nunn's daughter helping her ?
I would guess most of the polling was done in Metro Atlanta, that is helping her.
Here we go with the skewed polling BS again. Do you not find it very odd that the 2014 GA Senate rate is this close?
All the polling since 9/20 has been within 4% with the RCP average showing Perdue is holding a 2% lead.
The two polls taken since 10/7 show one a tie the other Nunn with a 3% lead.
Georgia, Kansas nor KY should be toss-up states. All three should be solid GOP states.
I would think GA and KY goes GOP., however the Dems have pulled money from KY and putting it in GA which could help Nunn.
No I do not find it odd any of these races are close. The GOP is again running marginal establishment left of center candidates. What's the difference between any of them besides what side of the isle they will sit on?
The GOP is missing a golden opportunity to smash the Dems and show a difference between the two parties.
The GOP has a golden opportunity to take the senate in 2014, if they do not they really have blown a great opportunity to do so.
When the GA, KY and KS senate races are considered toss-up states, that should be scary news to the GOP. The (R) beside the candidates name usually automatically wins those states.
I would argue that almost every single politican gets rich off of our backs. If the average politican makes close to 200,000 a year at a time when the average salary is not even in the same ballpark, one could justify that argument. Ms. Grimes would also be getting rich off of their backs as well. I think it's time to notch down their gov cheese until we see results.
only problem is they don't care about the government dollars they have rolling in when the MIC & O&G crowd keep their pockets filled. we need to get rid of all their benefits and then we will see movement. no taxes, free places to live, better healthcare, retirement funds etc etc.
You betcha! They will ride us into the ground while pointing fingers at each other. If you can't see this; open your eyes. Our political process has been tainted by money and the pursuit of power. Can we honestly all agree on this? The end game for each party is to take complete control, right? So how would that make for a complete and robust government?
my only 'cure' for it would somehow be to do away with the party system all together, its an antiquated idea from a time when people couldn't know what their politicians stand for so instead they got used to voting R or D and not candidates, and this is largely what goes on, people don't know the first thing about the candidates but recognize the letters next to their name as good or bad.
or somehow get away from career politicians, i have no idea how. but it sickens me how they all talk about their experience being a good thing while in fact that just means they have been part of the system that has failed us the people.
or even crazier would be direct voting by the population. make it a website with credentials and everything. then you click on voting issues and a pop up comes up with the proposed Bill/issue you click a box at the bottom saying you have read it then you get to vote yes or no. but that would be a true democracy and TPTB would not allow that.
