What happens now that Boyd is gone?

What do we do if he does not sign a big time player?

What if he announces Crompton will be the starter?

The same Bryce Petty that has more Picks than TD's in High School?

Not trying to put you on Blast, because I believe he has talent, and a bright future....but He WILL NOT be our Quarterback next year. I could see him as the starter his Junior/Senior years, but I'm guessing Kiffin will be pulling in 4-5 star QB's from across the Map, So I doubt he will ever see the field.

Not a waste of a Scholarship though.........

I'm thinking we Steal Mettenberger away from Georgia. He has been compaired to Matt Leinart, and I doubt he will see the field at Georgia Behind Murray, and that QB in the 2010 class that is Elite 11 material. He comes here Kiffin/Reaves makes him an All SEC candidate!

Idk, I just really want him to come, and I'm guessing Lane is looking at everyone, everywhere and he is supposed to be "The Next Matt Leinhart" So I'm guessing Kiffin will like that appeal.? I'm just going gut feeling on this one. But I also think that Murray could see a lot of Phone Calls/Visits from Kiffin also very soon.

Have faith in Coach Kiffin. Even if Crompton ends up being the starter next year Crompton can be a good qb. Crompton showed good signs against Kentucky(0 turnovers, scrambled and picked up 3 1st downs) I know he needs work but our new coach knows exactly what he is doing.

Let's hope it's not Crompton. :nono: I have no confidence that he can play at the FBS level. I'll take Nick or BJ over Crompton any day of the week.

I have to trust the coach on this one. If the player doesn't fit his offence... he really doesn't need that player, and I have no doubt he has something in the works... gotta believe cause we for sure don't know every kid he is talking to or will between now and signing day.... dang i feel like i just drank the orange kool-aid...

The only thing I can think of, looking at the QB situation, he is going to go out and get the best he can get, and guarantee playing time their freshman year. Which might attract some guys like Markley, Murray, and possibly AJ McCarron or Tom Savage. Both of those guys were interested, let's see what Kiffin has got up his sleeves

IMO stephens fits the kiffin qb mold better than cro(another batted down pass)mpton. but you may be right, LK probably is pursuing the 09 starting QB as we speak

If I recall correctly, JC made 3 throws to DMoore that looked like the same routes (deep posts?); 2 from a right side split and 1 from the left.

but Colquitt played 5 fewer games and had only 4 fewer punts than he did in the entire 2006 season. So, the system really got the ball in the punter's hands quite well.

I noticed in a previous post someone mentioned AJ McCarron, is it true that LK is gonna try and steal him away from the bammers ? or justanotherumor ?
