Who will Kiffin run off next?

At this rate we will be lucky to have 75 players on scholarship in the fall.

I'd rather have 75 players dedicated to the success of the program, than waste a single scholarship on some thug that doesn't attend class, attend team meetings or exhibit some level of dedication to the team.

The era of the "Brushy Mountain Farm Team" has ended.

Oh, here is what he also said:

Fulmer cared about his players more than Kiffin, who only cares about his record.

whew...glad i kept reading. allow me to help...

one of the signatures of the western man's mentality is that he is overly concerned with the individual. The inidvidual takes priority over the community as a whole. this produces a narrow focus. because of this the entire community is brought down, sometimes slowly and unseen to those most closely related to the community...they can only see the individuals. however the eastern/african/latin perspective is mostly concerned with the community as a whole. when individuals step out of line with regards to community health they are shown the door for the sake of the community. this doesn't only raise the health of teh community but of the individuals within. so, if we are to place CLK into this equation he looks someting like this...

a shaka zulu santa anna gandhi...there.

Actually I am repeating what my idiot friend said to me today. I am trying to get the best answers to use on him. He throws the Fulmer record at me and irritatingly always alludes to "Coach Phil," so please give me more comebacks.

how about a swift kick to the coin purse?

why do you assume that kiffin is running any of the players off.he's layed down the law and if they cain't abide by the rules, they need to be booted off.:salute:

Coach Kiffin didn't run these guys off, they ran themselves off by choosing to not come to practice & choosing not to study & work hard. Kiffin simply closed the door.

BTW, D. Morley already had 2nd chances, 3rd, 4th, etc. He knew he was skating on thin ice anyway. What a waste but it was HIS fault, not Kiffin's.

Since 1998 our Record is 82-37 regular season! Bowl Record 3-5.Plus twice we didn't even go to a bowl game! We had players always in trouble. Coach Kiffin comes in and has to clean house and show who is in charge. I think he has done a great job so far, if hard work is a problem for these guys go play chess.People keep saying Kiffins Record is 5-15 our record last year 5-7(lost to Wyoming) last 4 years 29-19 (Bowl record1-1 missed 2 bowl games)! I bet you the house Coach Kiffins record will be better then that and our program will be one we can be proud of. Go Vols!

Coach Phil knew how to get along with players.

Oh please. Orangeblood have a seat. Dont start a forum you cant really back up. Coach Fulmer let people slide too much. After Morley got arrested for stealing 35 for food and gas, Coach F let him back on the team. Personally, I'm glad he's gone and Creer too. I want to be proud of my school for winnning and for being mature, responsible young men my children can look up to. If we are winning (which we didnt do a lot of with Morley and Creer) with irresponsible characters it won't last long and we won't be holding ourselves or our team to any kind of moral standards. Way to Go Coach Kiffin for giving my sons a team they can respect and look up to. Go Vols

With any luck it will be Jimmy Hyams or Bob Kessling.

Why Bob? I like him. Obviously he's not John Ward, but he's a nice guy, and he is a very good announcer. He makes blunders from time to time, but he's usually very accurate. I agree with him chasing Hyams off though. That guy is such a douch-bag.

Coach Phil 152-52 Kiffin 5-15

Kiffin is 0-0 as a college head coach.

I'll go out on a limb (not much of one, though) and say that Kiffin's first 12 games will look a lot better than Fulmer's last 12.

There's gotta be a blog out there somewhere for the remaining Kool-Aid drinkers. The both of you. Wouldn't you be more comfortable there?

Go Vols.

I'd much rather hear about players being dismissed in the spring due to their mistakes or fears of not getting enough playing time, rather than hear about multiple UT players getting arrested for drinkin and driving(Dustin Colquitt), or any other stupid trouble they can get themselves into in the offseason

Are you implying that people that liked Fulmer, and therefore were not entirely happy with a coaching change, should not post on this site? Has this become an anti-fulmer only site? I thought the whole purpose of the message board was to express different views and opinions on issues.

Thanks, I used the next 12 games prediction on him today. He likes "Coach Phil" because he met him one time and says he is just a regular guy.

It is possible to like Coach Fulmer, to think he was a good coach, and still be pleased with the hire of Kiffin and how Kiffin and his staff have gone about their business thus far in the Spring.... You don't have to bash Fulmer to be excited about Kiffin.

Plus 1. Coach Fulmer did a lot of great things for the program. The game had passed him by it was time for a change. I don't get all the hate toward Coach Fulmer though.
