Stokes?
Armani Moore
Josh Richardson
AJ Davis
Chievous/Hubbs

Could Ndiaye make an impact?

Thompson (pg), will be pushed by the point guard recruit Austin

Hubbs (sg)
Richardson (sf)
Moore (g/f)
Stokes (f)

Davis probably starts if Stokes is indeed gone.

One of the freshmen posts will have to give some minutes off the bench if this team is going to make it to any type of postseason if Stokes isn't a part of the team.

Obviously it depends on Stokes coming back. I see more along the lines of:

PG - Thompson
SG - Hubbs
SF - Richardson
PF - Cofer
C - Stokes

I also think you could see

PG - Austin
SG - Thompson
SF - Hubbs
SF - Richardson
C - Stokes

depending on how fast austin gets acclimated and I think they try to turn Thompson into a combo guard for the next few years. If Stokes doesn't come back I think you see Pops or Turman starting at the 5.

Austin
Hubbs
Richardson
Moore/Davis/Cofer
Stokes (Turman if Stokes leaves)

This is with the assumption that Stokes returns. The PF spot is really going to be competitive. Moore gives you a disadvantage from a height perspective, but he is so active and he hustles. Davis and Cofer will have to prove they can do both to take that spot IMO.

You sending Armani back to jail or what?

I think he starts over Cofer. It's going to take these Freshmen forwards a while to get acclimated.

Only likely starters: Richardson, Moore, Thompson, maybe Reese. this year these players all together, all four as a unit, averaged less than 20 points a game. maybe new guys will help.. including Hubbs .... Stokes will be playing somewhere in Europe...Where will the offense come from next year ?....

I have to think it'll resemble more of the "4 out 1 in" offense that we were expecting when Cuonzo came in. Stokes coming back would be huge but even if he does there isn't much depth in the post (or at least it's very young). I expect to see some smaller guys playing at the 4, which helps Armani Moore's chances.

I think Stokes returns and that Cofer will be an important player as the season moves into the SEC schedule. It should be an interesting battle for the PG.

If Cofer plays as hard as he does Armani will continue to be first off the bench. jmo

Hubbs was 5* and will need to show it next year or this will be a sub .500 team most likely (assuming Stokes is gone, of course).

All these predicted lineups are horrible.

If Stokes stays, the starting five is not much of a drop.

Thompson will be better than Barton

Hubbs is unknown, but should be a solid replacement for McRae

Richardson - We know what we will get

Moore - I'll go on record now saying a starting Moore will have a very big impact next year.

Stokes - Him back for another year is scary for the SEC.

Only thing is that stokes will have to look at roster and see if it will be worth being a bubble team again compared to being a 2nd rounder and being a bench player.

Mid 2nd round picks are rarely bench players. It's really a choice between developing his skills at U.T. for another season or working on his skills in the D-League or Europe.

Turman
Davis
Cornish (defense and aggressive style of play will lead to him starting over Hubbs)
Richardson
Austin

With the trend in NBA teams drafting on potential and the influx of buying the rights to foreign players, it's easier than ever to make a roster as a second round pick (which is not to say that it's easy; just easier than it was ten years ago). Still, I'd come back another year and then go be a 2nd rounder if I were Jarnell. He has an opportunity to be the #1 option on this team and see his scoring numbers improve even more.

I think you'll find that all but 1 or 2 second round picks from last year spent the majority of their time in the D-Leauge this year. They usually bounce back and forth depending on injuries.

You can say the same for some first rounders the last couple of years. It's surprising how many 2nd rounders from the last three drafts are now contributors.

Not necessarily. Stokes proved himself and he would be on a bench. If Sullinger can make it on a bench, Stokes can.

Sullinger and Stokes aren't the same player and Sully came out in a weak draft and went to a team that blew everything up. If Stokes goes second round it's most likely to a vet team where we won't see time.

That bad...

I wanted Pearl and even I'm waiting to see what happens to finish out this season.

Not that I blame anyone for looking forward to next season.
