Who will be the better QB

Who will be the better QB?

Irrelevent. I don't care if we run the single-wing or the run & shoot. What I care about is which will be the better team?

I agree with the post that it will be difficult to compare Tebow to Ainge based on different styles of offense. Spot on.

Ainge, being a senior, and with Cut, should be the better QB. Then again, Tebow's wearing the NC ring, so.....

It should be fun to watch.

My guess is, it will come down to the two defenses.

My prediction for Ainge next year is: a lot of positive coach speak.

My prediction for Tebow next year is: many on field jigs followed by "The Official Tim Tebow First Down Arm Sign with Dramatic Squat and annoying boy yell."

Tebow is my new favorite QB just because of that picture. Ok, im just kidding but damn, hope she is a UT fan and can "tire" him out before the UT-FL game.

I said this in another post as well, but it's true. If you look at the picture closely for 30 seconds, you may be able to see Tim Tebow.

Been looking at the pic for 10 minutes. Can't answer your question. Feeling lightheaded.

I agree about not seeing Tim in the picture. However, I think Ainge will be the better QB. Tebow will get all the hype and will make some plays but I feel with Ainges experience and coaching from Cut he could be the best in the league.

You'll have to trust me, he's in there somewhere. As for the better QB, I agree that it's apples to oranges.

Tim will play well overall, but Ainge is ahead in the game as far as maturity and running the team as the #1 QB for a while. If Ainge has the time, he can pick anyone apart. Tim needs to mature to that level.

However, it's the effectiveness of both our teams running games that will dictate how successful either of our QB's will really be.

I would gladly accept only 150 yards a game passing from Tebow....if we could rush for 300!!:hmm:

There is gonna be so much Tebow hype it's gonna get ridiculous. For Ainge I think it will depend on the receivers and if they can step up.
 agree 100% about the hype factor. He's already provided the "wow" plays this season....it'll be interesting to see how he handles that on an every down basis.....the expectation for him to be great is tremendous. ainge is probably expected to do about the same, which would be fine with me, esp. if he can do it all 12 games. I'd say if ainge has a similar year to this year or slightly better, a lot of good things are happening on offense. If he has to throw it 35+ times a game though..........that would be trouble for any qb in the SEC.
If some receivers don't step up for the Vols it could get ugly, especially if the run blocking doesn't improve significantly. I realize that my opinions regarding next season are viewed with skepticism as being overtly "negative" due to my position on Fulmer, however, I just dont see how UT is going to score points next year with all the starting receivers gone, no marquee running back, an OL that cannot or will not run block, and the loss of a Sr. kicker. Yes, some guys got reps and, hopefully, that experience will help them in '07 but I did not see improvement from the beginning to the end of the '06 season unlike a team like UGA whose underclassmen undeniably demonstrated improvement through the course of the season.
i think having all three rb's back (i would say having coker back qualifies as marquee)from this season is a huge plus and a sr. qb in the sec is a nice bonus.

i do agree about the OL. If it's not a lot better, then the WR's are going to have to grow up quick...and the question is can they?

Defenses are going to load up to stop the run and test those young guys early and often. it won't take long for these guys to pass/fail thier SEC football test. If we can run the ball, everything gets easier.
