Worley's health shouldn't matter IMO. Dobbs showed today that he should be our starter at this point. More athletic, looked poised, threw the ball well, willing to keep the ball and get good yardage off the read option, looked he made good decision on where to go with the ball to me. No brainer, he should be the starter.

Dobbs all the way. If Worley starts, it's really going to raise some questions and eyebrows.

Why is that? Worley played hurt against Bama's starters and went 8/15 for 120.

I like Dobbs but he was 5/12 for 75 yards against Bama's back ups.

I don't want anything more nor less than for Jones to start the guy who gives UT the best chance to win. I honestly wish Jones had not waited so long to replace Worley today because of the hand. But I think the hate for Worley drives most of you more than anything else.

Dobbs actually provides a running threat and can run the read-option, Butch's offense.

It has to be Dobbs now.

Come on... you are better than being blinded by shiny new things just because they're new. Dobbs made ONE good run off the read option.

He did some nice things and I WILL NOT be disappointed if he takes the job over... just play the best guy. But he didn't look "great".

If Worley had thrown a couple of those passes many would have been going nuts.

I understand where you're coming from, and don't get me wrong here; I posted in another thread the same thing, that I support Worley and it's evident that he's improved tremendously throughout the season. Regardless, Worley is injured (which I guess is a broken thumb), and him starting would just hinder the team and negatively affect motivation and the season. Additonally, Dobbs might not have had the stats to back it, but he did show poise, good footwork, good vision, and he appears more accurate and has a stronger arm than Worley. All those factors combine make me say, "Dobbs all the way."

I know we were trying to redshirt him, but I've honestly been wanting Dobbs to play since the start of the season.

Dude, screw the stats. Dobbs looked better in every aspect, except for calling the plays quickly.

He threw the ball accurately with zip, made great reads, checked down often, didn't stare down receivers, he can run AND more importantly WILL.

I don't understand the whole "the goal is 6 wins" thing. This isn't the NFL draft. You put your best on the field... With Dobbs we can possibly get to 7-8 wins. Dobbs should start

Dobbs had 1 uncatchable throw. The rest should have been caught. I'm not a Worley basher, though I have been frustrated with him at times, but putting up 5/12 makes it look like your biased. Dobbs was impressive, put the ball in place it was supposed to be, and stepped up in the pocket. Just like every incompletion wasn't Worley's fault, Dobbs had 4 incompletions that should've been caught, and 2 more that were catchable. Only one throw was bad.

Dobbs was really impressive today. Showered arm strength and hit open receivers. The receivers dropped several, but made Worley look even more mediocre by comparison. He also made a few nice runs and actually makes the read option make sense.

Why did Dobbs get the nod today? I thought Fergy was the next one in.
