Okay, seems to be our glaring weakest link. So...who do you guys think will make up the interior of our line? I know we aren't as weak on the outside. But lets get some rotation ideas.
Posted via VolNation MobileWeakest link will be on the OLine, as we have to replace 4 starters from last years team, with practically no one (besides the lone starter we get back) who has a lot of playing time experience...
As far as D Line goes...
DE -- Walker, Martin, Williams, Bohannon
DT -- Hughes, Walls, Jeffery, Sykes, John Brown (if he makes it in)
And watch for the freshmen to push for playing time as well
DE's are going to be strong. You can include Fowlkes, J. Smith, and C. Miller, too. That's strong.Weakest link will be on the OLine, as we have to replace 4 starters from last years team, with practically no one (besides the lone starter we get back) who has a lot of playing time experience...

Hughes should be a monster...IF we have enough depth behind him to keep him fresh throughout games and second half of the season. IMO we can afford NO LESS than 5 SEC caliber DT's. 6 to 8 would make me feel much better.

The DT's have potential to be strong if they are healthy and eligible. If everyone you listed can play this year I will not be concerned about our D-line.
We need five dtackles for a minimum rotation. Heck, we don't even have five on the team til brown qualifies. The likelihood that more than two of those guys are ready to play at the Sec level is remote at best. Then think injuries, no way around it we are in trouble. They will probably find an end or two to move down, but that's not a good fix, but probably all we have.

Yet they felt like they could move a guy OUT of DT position, Victor Thomas, who would have given us 5, if we went by sheer number of bodies alone.
Still, I don't dispute your basic position: if John Brown didn't make it in and if Montori got injured, we'd be strugglin.
I think Walls and Hughes are going to be the guys at DT....I am really excited to see what the D-Line looks like after 6 months with Chuch Smith...I bet Walker and Martin have Breakout years...
