I've seen a lot of different 2 deeps. Some still have Kirkland & A Smith , so I know they're not current. I figure Mc Dowell , Jumper and Sapp but who knows?

If Bituli is healthy, it should be him. He is the big enforcer type LB that is made to destroy RBs. Maybe, he can't line up the defense like Jumper, but he can bring the pain. Let Jumper run the defense, let McDowell run sideline to sideline and cover TEs and RBs out of the backfield and let Bituli meet RBs in the hole and knock their heads off.

Keep in mind this is a run heavy offense in GaTech.
The same 2 or 3 guys aren't going to take every snap on defense

We'll start with McDowell, Bates and Jumper.
Bituli, Berry, Sapp and Ignot will play.

Look for Bituli to start next game

You know what? By the end of game Ignot may be the man.

Do we have 3 that are ready to play? Maybe 2 and crowd the line with a DB or two? Hope all these physical practices mean we have actually learned proper tackling and wrapping up. Thud ain't gonna get it done tonight.

S - Jumper ... M - Bates ... W - McDowell.

LittleVol nailed it. All the two-deep will get time in this game.

Still waiting on word about Austin Smith's timeline.

Butch's problem has been playing younger players meaningful minutes.
Despite the depth issues last year, how many snaps did Bates get.

Sumlin had an interesting comment before the A&M game yesterday. Said that he had to get his veterans and starters to understand that they are better playing 50 snaps and being fresh for games 11 and 12 than to play 70 and have nothing in the tank. Said it served to unite the team and get everyone on same page.

Roster management has eluded Jones. Hopefully this experienced staff can help him out here. Depth means playing guys that may not be 100% ready today, so they will be ready later. Nothing prepares like experience. It also serves to keep your starters legs and health. They have got to get guys like Ignot, Butler, Shamburger, etc., live rounds NOW. Tomorrowa depth starts now.

Where have you been? He's been literally forced to play younger guys.

After his poor decision to throw the ball with 2:40 left and stop the clock for a team with only 1 TO left, I really don't think we need to listen to any advice from Sumlin.

Even thou it does seem to make some sense.
