Chizik and Chris Doering called it in the post-game. He’s finally got a line to play behind, and perhaps most important, it’s the first time he’s had the same OC two seasons in a row.
They said it more than once and it's been argued by several on here that better line play and 2nd year with OC would make a big difference in JGs play.

No, what was our third down conversion % last week? (1 for 8). That will not get it done against Georgia. Today I heard we were 7 for 8 at one tome. That will make us competitive against Georgia.
If we put up 27 pts., we beat UGA. Third down conversions are overrated. Just ask Mike Leach. If you convert on 1st, 2nd and 4th down it's just as good as converting on 3rd down. 21 1st downs vs. USC, 26 vs. Mizzou. I would attribute the difference to 1 game experience and another few days of practice.

Are you watching the Georgia game right now? We need an ‘A” game at every position group or pray that Georgia is over confident next week.

I don't know what you guys were watching, but JG was average at best against bottom tier competition while having the benefit of a monster O-Line and a hell of a running game... Dude's entire strategy is throw a deep ball and pray, miss an open receiver on an intermediate route, check down to the RB after long enough so that when the RB catches it he's immediately hammered by the defense, or hand it off... The dude is NOT a good QB, but he does have a knack for winning occassionally...

I agree that’s how it’s been before, however, he actually used his legs a couple times today when needed and hit receivers in stride. Now some of the drops/incompletions were on him for either being too high or late where the defender comes right on top as the ball comes in. But he definitely played his best game today. It’s probably not enough to win games against the upper tier opponents; TN doesn’t have the depth or great players in all positions to do that. But if he continues to improve on his throws and continues to run when needed it could.

I’m one of the biggest critics of JG but he had an impressive game today, maybe his best game as a Vol. I only counted three plays that may be considered mistakes so that is pretty darn good for the number of offensive plays we had today.

Clearly JG controlled the game and played with a lot of confidence. There were a few times I was concerned but it usually wasn’t anything he did. A couple of very untimely penalties and a couple of missed assignments made things a little dicey but we have to be pleased overall with the outcome of this game.
NO TURNOVERS!

Tennessee has the roster to compete with, and beat anyone... However, we have a QB that has all the talent of an eggplant, so we can expect to lose to UGA, AL, and Florida again this year...

It's passed time people stopped making excuses for him... What is he a 5th year senior??? His throwing is what it is at this point... This is exactly like the Titans fans that would tell you about how Mariota was coming around after every time he beat the Jaguars... Missouri may be the 2nd worst team in the SEC... This was not an impressive win...

Like I said, if he keeps improving there’s the possibility of winning against those. If not, you may see the backups finally in like last year.

What game were you watching? He wasn’t just tossing it up for grabs. He had complete command of the offense. We can’t ask for any more from him.

Not a true fan / 10

I haven't qualified for delusional sunshine pumper status

If you meant where do I rate JG? He's about the skill level of a Quinten Dormady or a Justin Worley

A little sunshine being pumped in especially in 2020 I think is a good thing. Heaven knows all the S☆☆t thats piled in here it gets a little damp.
I come to expect rude behavior from kids these days its the me generation.
All the guys that play QB in the SEC or college ball period gets my respect their very rare. If you call me delusional because it aint in my genes to bash some kid who plays a game (who I might add is a hell of alot better at what they do than you or me ) so be it.
