Wendelboe was a barefoot kicker as well if I am not mistaken. Missed an extra pt against Miss St. in 90 or 91 and never kicked again. Unless you just want the card I would say $7 is too high.

:eek:hmy: He missed a EXP and never kicked again ? and and Palardy (and Lincoln) ... never mind ... someone else can buy the card - it shows him in a QB pose - very misleading I guess

S.Hinton was from Oak Ridge and played QB if I'm thinking of the right guy. Waited his time, finally got it his Sr yr. Played well for maybe 1 game, then got hurt and a kid named Todd Helton came in. Helton eventually got hurt and made way for a kid named Manning. I think the Manning kid had a pretty good carreer?

I believe you're thinking about Jerry Colquitt. Henton was from somewhere in New Jersey and rode the bench behind Andy Kelly.

Your right! I am thinking of Colquitt. I remembered the name Henton, but that was the only face I could put with it. Thnx

Henton was the starter in 1989 until he broke his wrist in the Bama game. Andy Kelly finished the game, and was the starter from that point forward.

Sterling started the 1989 season and was undefeated until the Alabama game he was replaced by Andy Kelly because we were so far behind. Kelly was a better deep passer than Sterling was. Sterling had a great support in the run game with the Cobb/Webb running attack. After Kelly replaced him Sterling played sparingly the rest of his career.
