Who was/is the Biggest Traitor in American History?

Seems my thread has struck a certain chord.

Why?

Why do so many of you defend that bastard? What's at stake?

I mean, he's just a bastard, right? Nothing more.

This has really ruffled your jimmies, hasn't it?

Honestly, if there is ever a march upon Washington, started by Iraqi (Afghanistan is a separate issue) veterans (as I hope there will be one day) calling for his head as the Joseph Goebbels of the Bush Administration, I will join them. That will be the first time in my life I ever think it worthwhile to visit that hellhole.

Just because your role is technically "propaganda minister" does not defend you from punishment. And your business interests are not that of my nation's.

This is really some crazy logic - VP makes unsubstantiated claims about Cheney (all was done for financial gain) because Jon Stewart says so. People say hold on a minute you are stretching things. VP concludes only reason for disagreeing with him is his comments "really hit home".

Wowzers.

Mike Mcgrath wasn't there, how would he know?
Col. Carigan was and is the lone survivor and told the the story.

McGrath has tried to debunk several stories and has been called a liar.

...so who would you believe? A person that was present, or one that wasn't?

According to McGrath, Carrigan also said the story was false.

NAM-POWs Tell the True Story about Hanoi Jane

And I can actually find nothing that backs this story up in any way. Nor is there any evidence of any POW being beaten to death in 72.

I'm going to throw out Woodrow Wilson as the biggest traitor to the ideals of our founding and individual liberty.

You tell me, how did it come to life?

And anyone who truly cares about freedom should defend both. Fonda doesn't need to apologize for not supporting a war. And Snowden showed us that a government agency was committing treason against its own citizens by unlawfully spying on them.

We shouldn't be trying to capture and kill Snowden. We should be trying to capture and kill whoever authorized these acts of treason against the American people.

Figure it out, I spelled it out for you. Carigan was the lone survivor of the beatings and told the story. There, I told you again. Have you retained anything I've said before we move on?

Enough already

Outside of snopes, everyone else claims this story is complete bull****. Including the men involved.

Edit: actually snopes called it false also

Aldrich Ames, the Rosenbergs, Nidal Hasan, Adam Gadan are traitors. Dick Cheney is merely a boogeyman who is an easy target.

3 men were beat to death from their actions, 1 survived. How do you think this story came to life?

You are vet (so you claim) and you defend Fonda, but in bed with Snowden. You need help.

So now that we know you've been spreading lies about American POWs, can we question your veteran status?

What kind of veteran would do that? You need help.

Go tell that to a Vietnam veteran. You talk a lot of smack, but I'd bet your paycheck (which ain't sh!t) you wouldn't face to face to Vietnam vet.

No need to question my veteran status, airman (if you ever were one). Our military has sunk to new lows if you ever were Airman of the Year.

Now shut up and poor me some coffee, airman.

Lol why are you upset? You've been spreading lies about Vietnam POWs. We should all be upset with you.

If this isn't a lie, just give me one article of evidence. Just one...

Jane Fonda might be a POS, but the idea that she could be the biggest traitor tells you everything you need to know about how cosmetic politics really are. Hurt feelings cannot be the most devastating result of treason.

Phillip and Paige Jennings are the biggest traitors in American history.

lol.....couldn't make it below the zone, but made Airman of the Year. You lie.

Although I myself have probably used the word to describe him once or twice, I don't know that I'd say he was a traitor, per se. A traitor implies to me that he is knowingly working to undermine the US's interests. And while I certainly think he and Bush were an absolute disaster, on so many levels, I don't think Cheney acted with that purpose.

He did what he though was right. He was just very wrong. That makes him a lousy vice president, but not a traitor.

You know, when you're somewhat reasonable and logical, you are half tolerable.

This x 1000

Arguments that he did what he did to betray the US are based purely on opinion. Somehow people think they know he was working for the Russians, like it's a fact.

The founders would consider Snowden a patriot. The tories would have considered him a traitor.

What Snowden did isn't the only thing at stake.

His actions in the aftermath, specifically acting like an attention whore each and every time he popped up on the news, are what irks me.

You tell that to Vietnam vet and starting running.

I had the honor and privilege of hearing Colonel William Baugh speak at my NCO Academy. He had the two hour block after lunch (typically the worst two hours) and was open for a full hour of Q&A.

Two hours mesmerized at every word the man said. And he did not have nice things to say about Hanoi Jane off the record.

It was more than hurt feelings Huff. She was given notes by the POWs she "visited" in Hanoi. She turned around and gave them to the North Vietnamese. Who in turn tortured those who passed them over.

Whether or not you support the reasons we were there or not at all, you don't do things like that. And she was a party to the torture.

How many times are you people going to repeat this lie?
