I was 5 years old sitting on my dad's shoulders as we ran onto the field. Only part of the game I remember is the missed kicked and everyone charging for the goal posts

I was there. Stumble Fumble didn't happen in Neyland, though. That was in Arkansas.

The 2004 finale with Florida was crazy, too. The whole stadium shook with that last kick.

I was serious. I thought that happened in Arkansas. I stand corrected. :hi:

Just messing with you man. I was actually just watching the end of that game on youtube. It never gets old. Nerves starting to set in for me for Saturday already. I'm going to be a miserable bastard to be around for the next couple days.

I am from Durham and a UT grad, unfortunately I will not be making the trip this weekend. Probably going to the Bama game though. Very jealous of everyone in K Town this weekend. I'll be there in spirit and spirits.

Obviously, I never post on here, get on VN multiple times a day though, so figured this would be worth sharing...

I had the GREAT privilege of attending both the Florida and Arkansas games that unbelievable year, at the age of 13. I went to the Florida game with a friend that lived on my street, in which his family had season tickets. Our seats were down in Y9 if I remember correctly. Other than a few late plays in the game, the field goal attempts specifically, I can distinctly remember watching UT Fans throwing chunks of the field at the Florida band a few sections over as our fans poured out of the stands, pretty awesome. I went to the Arkansas game with a different friend, whose Grandfather had season tickets, two pairs, one down in the lower, and one up in VV, which is where we were. It was a rainy night, I'm pretty sure, and a ton of fans were hitting the gates early, but my friend and I elected to stay and give crap to all those who were leaving. I remember yelling "You all are gonna miss it!!" over and over, and then...Stoerner fumbles, Vols recover, and the rest is history. I remember hearing "TRAVIS HHHENNRYY" over the PA system time and time again on that game winning drive. Still can hear Bobby Denton saying it in my head..

Was there for both, as well. Section E Row 15 for Florida game...I think Section D, Row 48 or so for Arkansas game. I remember running around on Shields Watkins field like a kid in a candy store. Great memories! Hopefully, starting this Saturday our program and fanbase get to start making some more great memories, instead of the horrible ones the last few years. GO BIG ORANGE!!
