Who truly runs this program?

You are wrong, multiple resources have his worth at upwards of 15 to 16 billion.

Who cares? Does he give that to UT.
Pete Debusk has a lot of money but he isn't a big UT booster.
Having money and giving money to UT are two different things. If Ergen wants to give what the Haslam have, more power to him.

Ok, maybe somehow you won the statistics game, although I doubt the final numbers are truly in, considering we're talking about family money here.

So, if Ergan is worth more than the Haslams and carries more weight, where are his contributions compared to theirs?

Again, they have given a MINIMUM of $100 million. Wrap your head around that, discount Ergan, and give your thanks. My God man...
That amount pales next to the Ergen donations. He has put over $100million into academics alone. Unlike the pilot crew, he does most of it through a foundation of "beavers." He is the leading donor.

Does anyone else individually or collectively have enough money to remove some boosters that own a terrible NFL franchise and I would predict has made all of the decisions since Fulmer’s firing. Man...the rich have all of the fun.

All of the top boosters were there when we hired the last 3 doofus coaches. I'm not sure why you look to them to all of a sudden change.

Also, how much money you have is not an indication of how much you give to university athletics. Nobody gives more than the Haslams, I'm sure, based on their history with the university.

Also, the Haslams have buildings named after them and strong historic ties to the football program as Sr. played there. The chances of them not having influence are one half of one percent of nothing.

It's a good thing they have their names on everything because I doubt they take any ownership in the 4-8 season.

You ever wonder why Ergen's company, Dish Network, appears on every UT Sports video?

Don't be afraid to mention the Haslam name. You know what...... fans have power to..... just have to use it.

Well, that was my memory about their net worth. You are more than welcome to do some research about what it is--maybe a bunch more. Do a little google, ok?

I do know this--my business school is named after the Haslams because they gave $50 million freaking dollars to it...lol. I have a tee shirt to prove it. Haslam College of Business. Still looking for the Ergan College of ---?

I'm not denying how much money the Haslams have given to the school.

You said:
Haslam family in total is worth something like 4 billion dollars--possibly more. I think they are in the top 50 family fortunes in America. Pretty sure Ergan can't touch them

Yes, the Haslam family (combined) has a little bit more than 4 billion.. maybe possibly 6ish.

I wasn't arguing how much the Haslams have given to the school or how little Ergen has given to the school.

I was just pointing out that Ergen has double the amount of dollar bills in his pocket than the Haslam family has in all their pockets combined.... and that your comment that Ergen "can't touch them" is plain ignorance.

Apparently you're the one who needs to take advantage of the google function.
