I feel like I've lost my orange tinted glasses, and ran out of orange kool aid. I've lost faith in our ability to win the east. I see us losing to Florida, Georgia, and Bama. With A&M being a toss up :cray:

Our O-line is too bad to have success against upper level talent. And the D-line seems to have been over rated.

I hope I'm wrong but I see another 8-4 season. which isn't terrible considering our last 10 years, but after this season we lose alot of key pieces.

Kentucky, Tn Tech, Vandy, USCe, Ohio, and Misery will all be wins. That is 8.

Surely we wan win a couple of the A&M, Bammer, Florduh, and Georgia games.

I still have 1 orange lens :) Look at the impact Tuttle had. He will definitely improve the d-line, which should help the others also. Hopefully the staff can make the necessary adjustments to the o-line and linebackers. We've gotten better from game to game so I still have hope we continue that pace.

I woke up today. I was healthy. My back hurt. But it was just a catch. I slept pretty good. All in all things aren't that bad. Tennessee winning or losing had no affects on anything other than my blood pressure for 3 hours a day on the weekend. Win or lose I still have to go to work. I just don't get all the complaining and constant belly aching about this team. It's a game. Just remember win or lose. The sun will shine again.

I still see 9-3 with a chance to get to 10 wins with our bowl game. Fire CMD or make him "retire" at the end of the year and go from there.

Everyone has that fear, but you have to slap that crap back down into your subconscious mind and hold the line until that day comes. There's literally nothing we can do to change the outcome of the season which could go one of several ways, so just make an extra effort to replace worry with hope when the thought arises. One good game can erase the unease many of us have just as easily as one game started it. If none of this helps you, just put Bob Marley's Three Little Birds on repeat for 10 minutes and try again.

There is so much time for improvement before the rough stretch, and barring any meltdown UT should be 3-0 heading in the UF game at home.

2-0

Ohio next. Coaches really need to utilize this game to find their rhythm offensively.

Doesn't matter how you feel right now. I'm guessing you feel a little better now than you did after 1q of the B@B. My guess is that you will feel even better on 9/25.

GBO!!!

I can still see us beating Georgia. If we had come into the season like I thought we would, I'd say we would beat FL, but as of now our teams are playing a lot closer so I have to call it a loss based on history. I was nervous about A&M before the season, but now I am chalking the trip to college station a loss. And forget about bama.

We'll win one of the four mid season tough games.

Won't be FL, won't be GA on the road, won't be AL so that leaves A&M on the road in a great stadium.

Revise that: 8-4 regular season. You can just smell the Gator Bowl I think already. Face it Dobbs is not a great thrower and the OL is not that good either AGAIN. Plus, like the last two years, our WR seem to struggle to get open. Oh, and the DL has been gashed the first two weeks against the run. Think 'Bama and other SEC teams haven't noticed yet?

Well, we absolutely need to win two of a&m, florida, georgia and bammer. I have to think georgia is beatable--they just beat some school named Nichols (?--there are SO many odd little colleges in America) by 2 points. They simply can't be that good. I don't know what a&m's got--must check--but feel like our defense can and will keep us competitive against them and florida.

We are going to struggle offensively against good SEC defenses--the offensive line is mediocre, at best, the passing game is shaky and not used much: we basically run a 1975 Big 10 offense out of shotgun. Dobbs, with his running ability, might help--but teams have seen him run and will be looking for him and Hurd to run, and screen passes to Kamara. That's not going to cut it. We'll probably get man situations against our wideouts, and we will have to throw the ball effectively to win some of these games.

I can't forget our last or next last series against florida last year: We didn't want to throw the ball, which we desperately needed to do to make first downs and put the ball away. Instead, DeBord and Jones played it safe with our 12th QB draw of the game in a big situation; it, predictably, got stuffed; we punted and we ended up losing the game. That is the epitome of loser play-calling. Reminded me of the 1999 florida game where we ran a toss sweep to Jamal on third down on our last possession: Florida, looking for Jamal to get the ball, stuffed it. So what do we do on 4th down: Run the same play! Stuffed again and we lose. .....

I don't see us beating A&M at all. They have a lot more talent than people give them credit for and Trevor Knight fits that system. They might be the biggest surprise of the conference when all is said and done.

I find myself now hoping we can go 2-2 vs our first four, most difficult SEC opponents. If one of those isn't TAM, I don't think we'll get there.

Yeah because they beat a fcs team 67-0 and beat an overrated UCLA team...... there's no chance in hell we can beat them (blue font)

Florida looked awful against UMass. GA barely beat Nicholls State. SO don't fret - VOLS are still winning and have beat two good teams.

Their defense gave up almost 500 yds of offense to UCLA, and Prairie View is an FCS school, so that game tells us nothing. And UCLA has a PAC-12 defense, so did really nothing to rattle Knight, who has never held up very well under pressure. And it remains to be seen if the aggies are much improved against the run, which is the Vols' bread and butter. If we can run the ball successfully and avoid 3rd and longs, then Garrett and that other DE are effectively neutralized because both are only average against the run.

UGA? I don't know. They looked ok against a UNC team that is dreadful against the run, but then looked like a hot mess against one of the worst FCS schools in CFB. The dawgs OLine has just as many problems as UT does, and Eason had his issues when he was under pressure.

The UF offense looked better against UK than it did against a pitiful UMASS team, but again, we are talking about UK's defense, who makes everyone's offense look much better. Southern Miss had over 500 yds against the Wildcat D 2 Saturdays ago, and most of that was in little more than 30 minutes of football. And UK has absolutely zero pass rush, as Del Rio himself said that his OL game him all day. The same OL that struggled with UMASS the week before. So I'm not going to crown the gators as SEC East champs just yet.

TAMU, UF, and UGA are no different from UT; we each have issues that will have to be worked out going forward, and I haven't seen anything from any of those other 3 that leads me to believe we can't win any of those games.
