Who thinks uga will come in here with their A game?

They will and not let up regardless. Having watched game film, they know UT does not have the horsepower to maintain a sustained attack. Richt knows that an early lead can be overcome with patience and player rotation that UT is not capable of matching.

That's the thing. The depth isn't there and we can't play an entire game. Especially if the get to running! With Chubb there will be a solid ground game!! They know a 14-0 is nothing nd if they get up 14-0 game over. Now that I think of it we have never trailed early this year. So when we get into that situation it may be game over early.

I do. I think they will not play crappy two weeks in a row. We know Chubb will get 150 yards and then what will the rest of the offense do? So what do you guys think?

I think they come in pi$$ed and we probably get a beat down. It's that I think GA is that much better but I'm just not sure where the players are mentally and if they still have trust in the Coach's. That will be the hardest thing to figure out. I'm guessing me find out pretty quickly but we could get lucky and catch GA at the best possible time. But we aren't gonna beat them without being able to consistently pass the ball and I don't mean 15+ screens and swing passes. Chubb is going to get his 150+ yards but we can't let Lambert find his accuracy again. I just don't have any confidence that Butch or Dobb's can win a big game. Hope like hell they prove me wrong Sat!

You people are a bunch of slack jawed, pansies. We may lose but we aren't getting blown out. Who the hell has UGA beat? They got boat raced by the only legit team they have faced. Maybe we're 2-3 but we've at least played legit opponents to this point. Bunch of freaking, whimpering cowards on here.

Running opens the entire playbook.

It hasn't yet. Passing with consistency can open up everything else for us. Defense's I bet will do exactly what Arky did. Creep up the safeties and that leaves very little room in our run game and short passing game. If we can start hitting those intermediate and deep passes it will force them to back off and respect our vertical game. I guarantee nobody is worried about Dobb's stretching the field on them right now.

I meant for uga. They fact that they can run the qb will have opportunities to stretch the field. Funny you thought I was talking about our team lol. This will be our worst game all year. I see 31-20.

I really thought that our defense would be good enough to keep us in games this year, not been the case at all. Offense is just a mess when teams figure out all they have to do is stop Hurd.

well...actually, they both have been good enough to be close in the 3 loses...maybe just not quite good enough to seal the deal.

it will take another full team effort to stay close with UGA...with better execution and more coaching flexibility they could pull the win.

I hope your right. I know we can play with GA any given Sat and win our share against them. Right now my concern is where are the players mentally and have they quit on Butch. If they are in the right frame of mind and still are playing for him I love our chances, especially if we can find a way to complete some passes. But if they are dwelling on the close losses and have lost confidence in the coach's then it could get bad. We will find out the make up of the coach's and mental toughness the players have this Saturday. I hope everything finally clicks and we give uga a similar beat down they got last week.

In the end it's a total team effort, which includes the coaches. That said...I am hoping they are clawing and scratching as much for each other, Tennessee tradition and the fanbase as much as for the coaches.

Kinda like Saban's press conference this weekend or yesterday when he was filleting the media...I don't much like the guy but I did like what he was saying.

Lol..yea I completely took your message as directed at TN. GA is gonna score on us and Chubb is gonna get his yards. I think the deciding factor as I mentioned in another post will be where the players are mentally and can we make plays in the passing game. If they are mentally down and if we can't throw on them I definitely can see it getting ugly. One thing working in our favor potentially is where is GA mentally after putting all they had into the Ala game and getting killed. Jake Comer looked like a he is an trophy QB throwing on their secondary. Dobb's will need a passing game like that for us to win,IMO.

Absolutely. I can't stand Saban but he is one of the best in the business and he knows how to motivate his team. Saban coached teams don't give up and they fight and claw till the game is over.I like our chances if everyone puts in a 110% effort and our guys show how tough they are mentally. Really hoping they haven't packed it in or it's going to be a long second half of the season.

How mentallt tough are they when the get 14 pt leads and can't get one more score? They have lost all swag in themselves.

Our coaches still think they can win just by correcting "eye discipline" or "recognizing the defensive lineman's stance". They have been practicing for 3 months, how long does this take?

Maybe contacts? Butch is so full of it. Every other team does eye discipline so obviously he can't teach it.

We have always played UGA very tough....and the puppies have come into Neyland MANY times with the better team and left with their tails between their legs....

I want to see:

1. Jumper on the bench...Bynum on the bench...
2. BATES in the game at OLB instead of Bynum.......
3. Our DC load the box to stop the run and make UGA's QB beat us throwing the ball....at LEAST make them one dimensional on offense....and taking away the run WORKS against them...

4. Evan Berry playing in the game as either the Nickel or as a starting Safety along with TK Jr...I can't say it enough---our Safeties are truly PATHETIC...and play like Jane....and have for the last 3 years....I'm personally sick of watching them fail to cover and continually miss tackles...PLAY THE YOUNG GUYS...and you can't tell me that Evan Berry could play ANY WORSE than Randolph and McNeil....

OFFENSIVELY.....

1. Run the ball effectively with Hurd and Dobbs....If Dobbs gets hurt, so be it....next man up...We need to win games, not preserve half of a QB...

2. An offensive package with Dobbs UNDER CENTER and throwing the ball down the field off of play action...misdirection and a lot of passes to the TE in the middle of the field and about 8-12 yds down the field matched up against a LB...WE WIN THOSE MATCHUPS. And that's how Arky extended drives against us when it mattered most--by throwing to the TE matched up against Bynum and Kirkland....

Putting Dobbs under center and establishing a successful run game with counters and misdirection will PULL the Safeties down and open up the play action passing attack....It's also easier to throw the deep ball to the post off of play action...

3. I would love to see Jalen Hurd carry the ball 30 times in this game--and about 2/3 of it from Dobbs under center....I'd also love to see Wolf and Ellis have about 10-12 catches between them....

Alabama exposed UGA for who they really are....an average team with an above average RB--who CAN BE STOPPED....stop the run and PRESSURE their QB and we win.... :salute:

GO VOLS!

I agree but the majority of the blame for those losses go to the coach's. The players didn't make plays when they needed but in the OU and UF games especially they weren't always put in the right positions to succeed. Just like the TD pass Grier threw to beat us. Instead of blitzing and putting pressure on a FR QB they backed off and he had all day to throw. Even Janzek admitted he made a bad call on that. If they would have blitzed instead of putting a spie on Grier and dropping back I doubt he ever has time to wait on his receiver to get open and complete the pass. Same as the OU game, they didn't get the players in the correct positions to succeed. Now the Ark game was just as much the players as the coach's. Especially the players forgetting football 101,Tackling. We will definitely see what they are made of mentally on Sat.

I don't know if Georgia will have their A game or not but I predict we will play fast and loose.

The players on our team are going to be embarrassed and angry, and with the coach under fire they will come out steaming.

I just hope they can sustain it for 4 quarters. Starting to think they fold in a close game. They really need the motivation to let it hang out for all 4 quarters.

i think the pressure on their QB is very important but don't think we have ability to produce. No sure why but our sacks and hurries seem way down this year.

We've gotten pressure on the QB MANY times this year and forced a lot of bad throws--especially in the Fla game. We just didn't bring the pressure in the key situations.....

But we CANNOT sit back in a BASE 4-3 or 4-2-5 and expect to stop their running game.... We've got to load the box and make their QB throw the ball quickly....BUT..

we also have to expect them to respond with slants, screens, and flares out to their RBs in the flat....

It's the flare patterns to the RBs that would worry me the most--because our LBs don't match up well with either Chubb or Michel....I'd be in favor or having a DB cover their RB in passing situations--and especially on Blitzes....

Unfortunately it's not that easy. Putting QB's under center who aren't used to it is asking for trouble. Teams will learn to put a spy on Dobb's and that will lessen his production like Arky did to him. And play action is only effective if you have a QB that the D respects and is concerned about him beating you deep. And I forget the exact stat ESPN game the other night but on passes over 20 yards Dobb's was like 3 for 20 or something along those lines. It was awful. So knowing that it's gonna be hard to loosen up their defense without being able to do that. I do like getting the young safeties in there and getting Bates out there. Would also love to see Martin beat out Mosely. Seems like every time a deep or intermediate pass is completed it's always Mosely on that receiver. We really need Martin to get up to speed and take that job. I have never seen one secondary give up so many 3rd and longs and 4th and longs in such a short amount of time. I don't know if it's coaching or what but that needs to be fixed also. We aren't good enough up front,at LB or in the Secondary to load the box against them and be productive. Honestly wouldn't surprise me if UGA didn't come out throwing, trying to get Lambert back on track and loosening up our defense. And GA has 2 of the top LB's in the nation so I'm not sure attacking them will work to our advantage, especially as erratic as Dobb's is.

We've gotten pressure on the QB MANY times this year and forced a lot of bad throws--especially in the Fla game. We just didn't bring the pressure in the key situations.....

They also have killed us in past years throwing to the TE. I wouldn't expect that to change until it stops working. If we can somehow make their QB's play like they did against Ala then I love our chances making them one dimensional. But so far we haven't shut down anyone's QB for an entire game, especially the 2nd half. Chubb is going to get his yards,we just have to deal with that. We can't let their QB's have career games like so many QB's have the last 5 years. We don't have the DLine and LB's that Ala has so we can't game plan the way they did.If we try that Chubb will have a career day like Hurley did last yr. They put up almost 300 yards rushing last year.
