Who thinks that Alec Baldwin will win an appeal....

Well, I get what 82_VOL_83 is saying and probably agree with him more than I disagree, but I don't think there is a good analogy, especially the ones being used.

But, I actually dgaf anyway.
Well what I am looking at is intention

No it's not.

I'm not taking up for him, but it's a different situation than you or me going to a gun range and having a firearms instructor hand you or myself a gun. It's even a different situation if Mr. Black, or Old Lady Foster goes to the gun range and the instructor hands them a gun. Not limited to the most obvious reason, but why would you, me or either of them point the gun at someone? Whether it had blanks or was a frigging water pistol.

He's a dumbass and shares responsibility in my opinion, but good grief at any analogies with a movie star being handed a prop gun.

Was Patrick Swayze (Bodie) supposed to check his parachute before jumping out that airplane???? Does Tin Man check his???
One I would hope and two he probably packs his.

My post stated that charges were dropped and that they found out that the gun had been modified before it was brought to the set.
That was the Armorer's job to make sure that the gun was safe and that person still has charges
No one is driving at anyone "purposely" hence that is why it is an accident and "Unintentional".
I give up. If you are trying to say he accidentally pointed the gun so that you can compare "accidentally" running over someone I can't help you. He purposefully pointed the gun, was this hypothetical person purposefully driving at someone in the crosswalk?

Once again, ANYONE who has any business handling a gun, ESPECIALLY when you are going to point it at someone whether you pull the trigger or not is responsible to check the rounds in the mag. Period. I don't give a **** about anyone's job, it's called responsibility. Something that his ilk has very little of. He should be facing negligent homicide or at the very least be sued to oblivion in civil court. I don't think any of it will happen because of who he is.

Yes he did, so let's say that a person is driving and they are approaching a cross walk and their breaks failed and they hit and killed someone, and it was proven that his mastercylinder was leaking so his breaks did fail, he did not know that they were going to fail, he thougt that they were in working order, so my question is, should he get charged and if so with what charge? So of course there would probably be a wrongful death suit, but should their be any charges for this tragic accident?

And it was the Armorer's responsibility to bring in a cold gun

The armorer didn’t not point a gun at somebody and pull the trigger.
They are saying now that the gun was modified before it was brought to the set, and he stated that he never pulled the trigger and now the charges are dropped from his case but not the Armorer's

I think both Baldwin and the armorer have responsibility and are guilty. She's going to serve time and he should as well, although it's unlikely.

You all are crazy over this. Honestly. Totally around the bend.

Been that way since day one.

I can’t say this often enough.
With firearms it’s always without fail, every single time, the responsibility of the person holding the firearm to know what is in the firearm.

There’s no blaming anyone else. A hole Baldwin killed somebody with his recklessness.
