To all the ones who don't understand why we are so pissed off at Fulmer, or Crompton or any of the other coaches.

Because we are watching the program burn to the ground because of terrible coaching, and horrible play of the QB, we are frustrated! How can you not be? Look around!

Alabama beat the hell out of Georgia, and we are seeing the rise of the Tide. Why? Because they want to win, they went about what they had to do, to get back to winning. Now we are the BOTTOM of the SEC, we probably wont win more than 5 games with the way Crompton is playing. 109,000+ people do not come to football games to watch the BS that goes down on the field.

Don't call me a damn bandwagon fan or a negavol, because I care enough about my football team to know that there is something wrong! And there is a NEED for a change. I work my ass of Mon-Fri with the motivation of watching the Vols on Sat. Not any damn more, I go to work now, and everyone rubs our loss in my face, and brags about how well they're team are doing.

So you think we're jumping ship? You think we're just being negative? You must not care enough about winning, maybe YOU should find another team instead of telling me I should.

I used to have that kind of anger in my youth...now apathy has set in. Much easier on my health. I agree with the premise, just can't muster that kind of fire for the same ole same ole.

I'm in the same boat. I think it's an age thing. At some point it dawns on you that it's a little silly to let your disposition get determined by how a bunch of 18-21 year olds play on Saturday.

I have to agree with bigdaddy and Gavol, age seems to make it better to handle.I don't get as pissed off as I use to get.It might be because of being use to the team being mediocre and not the team we use to be.

It is frustrating, though. I live in Northwest Alabama and interact with Bama, Auburn, Ole Miss, and Miss State fans and alumni. Even they don't understand why UT, with it's football tradition and support, has allowed Fulmer to drive the program into mediocrity.

Friday, I heard Paul Finebaum state on his radio program that if UT replaced Fulmer with the equivalent to Bruce Pearl the rest of the league better watch out. One of the few times that I agreed with Ole Paul.

I don't get as angry and break things anymore, either. I agree with the age part. I honestly think that my heart hurts more. Right now, I am just plain sad. I NEVER thought it would come to this. :disappointed:  :jpshakehead:

watching a bunch of people including my grandfather go through chemo and other cancer treatments all day Friday will really make you think twice about getting so worked up over a football game. I want Fulmer fired, but I'm not going to get that worked up about it.

I still get a little fired up after yet another loss. But the fire is dying with every loss. It might just be old age setting in. Damn that old age.

I prefer to stress the "maturity" angle rather than age.

I agree that it is silly to let a football game determine your disposition but it does determine who makes millions of dollars per year coaching. More fans have perspective on the relative importance of college football in Tennessee today than five years ago. Fans of championship programs seem to have less perspective than others.

It's hard to watch something you are so passionate about being thrown in the dirt. Excuse my fire and passion, it's just my way of blowing off steam.

Personally, I think it's unhealthy to hold things back. So just tell us how you really feel.
