Well... apparently NOBODY teaches tackling at Tennessee...

Maybe we should ook to do that next year.

Tackling was obviously the problem. I think we may have some trouble in Gainesville. Cal showed a lot of speed on offense, much like the gators

UT teaches put your head down and hit instead of good tackling fundamentals.

Tackling and being out of position were both huge problems. Speed means diddly without those two fundamentals.

Understatement. Not to mention they run the option which gives Tennessee fits.

It was all a problem. Cal's guys were faster than our's. We weren't in position enough. And when we were, tackling was hard to come by. IMO it's got a lot to do with Cal's plays developing, while using 3/4 WR sets, which makes it take too long for a gang tackle to happen.

Maybe I'm the only one to notice that every time UT plays a team that does anything except run in straght lines, the defense gets gashed. Nebraska in two bowl games, LSU in '01 in the title game, Air Force last year...and now this.

When Forsett wasn't cutting back, the defense was fine. When he started cutting back, defenders were knocking into each other.

I kept wondering when the defense was gonna remove the 59lb ankle weights. I've never seen a defense so slow, and slow to react. John Chavis needs to sit back and say wow my d fense sucked does that have any correlation to job security? I thought the Oline did a very good job, not great but good.....I thought Ainge played very well, and I thought Foster played his heart out. I 've never seen a SEC defense so weak...I can't wait to hear coach Chavis feild the questions on why his defense was running in hip deep mud. Oh wait thats right...coach Chavis is the guy in the back of the back room in the dark corner that doesn't speak, he's not availible for questions comment or critisism.

CPF is on radio show now and one of the first things he commented on was how bad our tackling was. Not like he was telling us something we didn't already know, but I, for one, am glad to hear him come right out and admit it instead of saying something about needing to watch the film first.
