Who steps up

Who Steps Up-
Willingham becomes a major force at corner.
Ayers has 8+ sacks and is all-sec.
Denarius Moore is a top 3 reciever.
Josh McNeil lives up to the hype this year and leads the O-line.
Savion Frazier becomes a starter before the season is over.

I can see the Willingham statement happening, Ayers comment is right on, doubt Moore is a top 3 receiver(SEC or team?), McNeil was pretty good last year, and Savion Frazier will only be a starter if there's an injury somewhere.

Crompton's a rs junior...if he steps up and has a huge season, his NFL stock could skyrocket.

Doubtful.

They've moved him so many times I couldn't tell you. We probably need him more at DE since we have Bolden, Williams, Fisher, Langley, Nelson, and Thomas at DT. We only have Ayers, Brown, Martin, Walker, and Tritapoe(who's letter 2 year supposedly).

So, Chris Donald is no longer at DE?

Moore, top 3 on UT behind Taylor and Jones. McNeil was good last year but not great or a leader, that will change this season. There might not be a spot for Frazier, but he will be too good to keep on the bench for long.

Frazier will play special teams from the beginning, but I dont know if he's taking a job from McCoy, Wilson or the duo of McKenzie and Myers-White.

As far as draft stock goes, I'll say Ayers. He has NFL size. I also expect E. Wilson to step up and have a good year.

crompton being a redshirt junior, so we have him this year and 2 additional more right. thats how a 5th year senior comes about if he stays?

We have him for this season and next season. Next year he would be known as a 5th year senior. He redshirted in 2005.

I hadn't noticed that disparity in the reported size for Walls. Rivals has 6'2", 225- probably MLB. GVX has 6'4" 230 as does UTSports- almost certainly a DE. Scout has 6'4", 215... but can they be counted on?

he is 6'5 250 from this article on walls in may...

Physically, Walls' focus has paid off. Walls is now 6-foot-5, 250 pounds — 20 pounds heavier than when he inked on National Signing Day. Walls is following Tennessee's weight training and nutrition handbook and wanted to put on the weight.

"I needed the added muscle to compete at that level," Walls said. "I lose some weight once I get into pads, but I don't want to get under 245 pounds"

Must've told him he'd be a DE. Good thing, we need depth there.

I think Ahmad Paige steps up and surprises some people. He certainly has a chance to be a really good WR here. As far as the most important person to step up for us is Demonte Bolden hands down. I think the front 4 play will determine how well this team does this year.

Couldn't have said it better myself...If our front 4 can dominate the line of scrimmage, we will have one of the best defenses in the country. It will be very difficult for another team to go 80 yards on us.
