I'd say the quickest time for coleman to start would be '09. But you never know. What grade is Stephens in, anywayz??

Crompton hasn't progressed one bit. It wont take alot to get past him. Don't know what the deal is he made the same mistakes he made as a starter. I'm just not sold on him. I would have expected to look better than last year but didn't.

Stephens has only been there 2 months? Did as good as and looked better.

Either way both have ALOT to do and fix. Ainge seems to have taken Stephens under his arms.

i will be shocked if anyone can pass him up by 08. he's been here 3 years, knows the offense, has some limited game experience.......and if you believe the coaches, they have said that he has made progress. this spring will help him, and heded in to next spring, it will help him even more.

will there be a competition for the qb spot? yeah, but i don't forsee it being a prolonged battle. they'll settle on a buy relatively quickly so he can get the snaps, and right now, i think Crompton has a leg up on the others.....

and again, i didn't say it would be him, just that i'd be shocked if it weren't.

crompton threw a lot of floaters saturday. i was honestly surprised more weren't picked off. He's got a lot of improving to do, but I can't see him being passed over. We know I'm not a fan of the coaching staff, but they can get him ready. He'll start in 2008.
