I think you are removing too much blame from Dormady.
Like you thought he stared down the receiver on that pick... until I proved frame by frame that he didn't?
QD has his own set of problems. He played very bad vs UGA. But folks like you see NO blame for anyone but QD and usually for one of two reasons or a combination of them.
Some simply don't understand the game well enough to know how a lack of consistency and dependability by WR's can make a QB look much worse than he actually is. Jones mentioned missed assignments again today saying that if the play called for a 5 yard hitch... the WR couldn't make it a 12 yd hook.
Others, simply vested themselves in JG and want him to be the starter. Dormady is in the way so they trash him regardless of all the rest.
JG may not be the answer at QB, I don't know if we have a good QB on our roster but not every QB that steps on the field will look as bad as Dormady has thus far!
You mean except for how JG has looked... against lesser competition, right?
You're smarter than that. UT's WR's couldn't get off coverage against UMass allowing them to run blitz and load the box. UMass! UMass' DL got push against UT's OL.
I think JG is an extremely talented guy that with a little support around him could shred a team like UMass. Instead he had 3 totally ineffective drives.
NOTHING whatsoever to do with JG's ability or even his lack of development. There are just more problems on this O than either QB can account for.
Dormady was over rated and has underachieved here at Tennessee, Due to nothing but his lack of skill set and mental stability to run an SEC offense!
Sort of like Peterman, right? Peterman looked MUCH worse before transferring. Simpleton or simply biased toward JG?
The same guy who produced that 2nd half come back vs GT is still wearing #12. Teams have just taken away the few things UT's WR's have proven they can do.
