Probably run the wildcat with a backup punter. We are trying to suck worse each game right?

Most likely Quinten Dormady. Let be real here.

Jones already laying that ground work when he said they don’t have enough time to change much. AKA “Jarret ain’t starting”.

You can see that one coming a mile away.

JQ, but to be successful the offense will have to be more pro pass oriented because if they run the offense that expects him to have to run the ball then his body will not be able to take the hits and SC defense will smother the line of scrimmage and play run all day long

Needs to be Guarantano. He's the freshman and Dormady (a junior) hasn't convinced anyone that he's SEC caliber. If they're anywhere close to a tie then you've got to go with the one who has more potential to help your team.
Also, if Butch loses this one by a convincing score and then gets walloped by Alabama then he's as good as gone. A promising freshman QB could possibly give him a tiny bit of hope.

Doesn't matter who the starting QB is.

It's still Butch's offense which has been very ineffective so far this season.

JG will start, and unless he gets hurt he will prob be the starter for the season.

Just my thoughts, but Butch knows things are extremely hot. JG has the most upside, and is the only one of the two who can really run the current O. JG certainly has not looked good; however he is more athletic, can run and survive better, and maybe can become more of a "don't lose the game" QB, until he develops more.

Also when he has been out there it seems like JG hasn't been turned loose. When you have an undeveloped DT/QB he needs to have permission to just take off; later in development he can hang in the pocket.

JG though the primary problems on O are a combination of Jones' "system" and the play of the WR's and one or two OL's more than Dormady.

Dormady looked emotionally whipped in the last game. Jones botched the QB situation. He didn't do what he wanted to do which is hand the job to JG... but he wouldn't quite give it to Dormady either. If he was that determined to have JG start then he shouldn't have played games. He should have told both of them in January then spent the last 9 months getting JG ready to play.

By holding this "competition" which he never intended to allow Dormady to really win... he screwed both of them.

From what I have seen JG is not a runner except when he has too....i disagree, his body will never take the hits....Dobbs took some vicious hits and at times was hurt but was able to shake it off....JG is not going to be effective in an option/read offense...imo your setting him up for failure...just like QD

JG has nothing to lose and has much better mechanics that QD....QD is afraid and is not doing anything natural but is trying to guide the ball in there...he's tight...he throws tight...the expression on his face Saturday told you the story....Coach Jones should man up and stop this competition until game time nonsense....at least that is what it is to me...

No one is open. Box will be full. This offense requires the QB to scramble for yards on his own to be successful. Points will be hard to come by.

A couple years ago JG was one of the highest recruited DT/QB in the nation........he is a true DT........running QB.

Your quote: "From what I have seen JG is not a runner except when he has too"

That is exactly what I am talking about. To me it looks like JG has not been given the OK to just take off. Good DT's (when young) thrive because there is always the threat of them just taking off. If you take that threat away, and they are not developed enough (in their passing, their reads, their protection, and with the O scheme) there is no reason to even put them on the field.
